One of the prime subplots in this season's Hard Knocks was the battle between two likeable rookie fullbacks: undrafted thumper Chris Pressley and seventh-round pick Fui Vakapuna.
Pressley won out, scoring a practice squad job before landing on Tampa's 53-man roster. Now Vakapuna will get his own happy ending -- for now. The Bengals are adding him to their active roster, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer.
The team released tackle Scott Kooistra to make room for Vakapuna. Starting fullback Jeremi Johnson sat out practice Monday with a knee injury, but is considered likely to play against Baltimore this Sunday.

what is up with the comments process lately? i've had 4-5 that haven't ever shown up in the last two days.
Vakapuna is so soft. He has the size but no killer instinct. Too much Mormon BS at BYU made him soft methinks. He needs to get back to his Samoan roots and become a warrior if he ever wants to play in the NFL
