Bob Sanders has a new injury

After months of rehabbing a knee injury, Colts safety Bob Sanders finally returned to action on Sunday, against the 49ers.

And now, as the Colts prepare for an AFC South showdown with the Houston Texans, Sanders is hurt.

Again.

This time, he's got an elbow injury.  He missed practice because of it on Wednesday.

Also missing practice Wednesday for the Colts were defensive end Dwight Freeney (rest), receiver Anthony Gonzalez (knee), cornerback Kelvin Hayden (knee), cornerback Marlin Jackson (knee), and kicker Adam Vinatieri (knee).

Bob Sanders, as good as he is, is made out of glass. He will never play all 16 games

"Brittle Bob" will still be able to do enough with one arm against Crabtree and the 49ers.

    Dear Bob,

    I feel your pain. (Literally).

    Love,

No surprise there. That guy is constantly injured and useless.

Sanders has been nursing a nasty paper cut that Caldwell isn't listing on the injury report at this time, too.

I heard he pulled his fallopian tube.

@VoxVagina - wow you're brilliant!! Given that he's already missed several games this season, I'd say you're spot on.

    LOL TFBuckFutter

How did he pass the physical with Brittle Bone disease?

And I just got off the horn with Vegas laying down that Sanders would beat Favre's consecutive game streak...

Krusty the Clown - "I thought the Generals were due!!!"

Can we finally agree to stop putting Bob Sanders on "Top Safeties" lists; I know he's got great ability and talent - but if he's hardly ever on the field, then he's not a top player at his postions - because he hardly ever plays!!

It's like saying wow Ryan Moats had 3 TD's and 126 this weekend - he's a top player at his position.

Karma. He dives at everyones knees and tries to injure them. What goes around.....

this guy is good when he plays-but anyone can be good for two games a year. this guy should have taken up chess instead of football! he maynot play 16 games in his career, yet more 16 in one year!

Um...this was his 2nd game back. He played against St. Louis. He'll play on Sunday. Minor injury.

then he'll be out for 5-6 weeks before he plays a game and gets injured for a handfull more.

A well balanced story on Bob Sanders would say "Bob Sanders expected to make first start of the season in week 7. Expected to make 2nd start of the season in playoffs".

Bob Sanders needs to just retire. I can understand missing a game or two a season it happens to a lot of players but seriously he only plays half the season most of the time. Just give it up Sanders because your body obviously wants you to.

sometimes I wonder if there's any truth to what a lot of sportswriters say about athletes--theyre standoffish, or rude, or dont give a shit about the fans..

..then I read posts like these. Man, a bunch of faceless, punk ass cowards who wouldnt know courage or athletic ability if if bit them in the ass, are talking shit about a guy who, at 5-8 and maybe 195 pounds, has been the league's defensive player of the year. And he did that by throwing his body around. Thats why his body is falling apart. but you morons are too stupid to see it.

if these insights are a reflection of your average "fan," I can see why athletes don't give you the time of day.
