After our last two PFTV games of the week featured contests involving the Vikings, one of you smartasses our valued readers predicted that our Week Nine game of the week would be “Vikings vs. Bye.”
Real cute. (It actually came in second.)
This week’s top game occurs in Denver, when the Steelers face the Broncos. And not just because Pittsburgh safety Ryan Clark could be risking his life by playing.
Above the division rivalry game for first place in Philly?
Honestly The Steelers should not Ryan Clark play. 2 reasons.. 1 It’s not worth getting hurt over!!!,,,and 2 Steelers are going to win this game hands down. There I said it. Yes Steelers are going to win in Mile High.
While it pains me to do so, I have to agree with the Iggle fan on this one.
I agree, the Philly game should be the one. But florio has to plug the steelers along with the other darlings (Pats, cowgirls etc) when possible.
Above the division rivalry game for first place in Philly?
That’s the third choice.
Have to agree. Dallas-Philly is a much better GOW. a divisional game with 1st place on the line and 2 teams that are playing well right now. Not rocket science here!
Should I be scared that Florio did not mention the Bills in this article? Could Bills fans be stuck with another year of Dick?
I usually refrain from the idiot comment most give when your discussing your coal luving steelers and mountaineers, but this game isn’t even the biggest game in the AFC North! That would be Baltimore and Cincy? Denver got SMOKED by the blackbirds last weekend so is there really any reason to believe the squeelers won’t do the same thing to Kyle and the luckiest team of the year.
As your friends at ESPN would say Cmon MAN!!!!

Have you not noticed Florio has posted almost nothing about the NFC East teams (other than the easy target Redskins, the only team below the Giants) now that his beloved G-Men are floundering?
It’s quite obvious that Cowboys/Eagles, two good teams with good records who are both coming off two dominate performances and are playing for 1st place – is the game of the week. Nevermind that the Eagles put up the most humiliating loss in Cowboys history in their last meeting, the Cowboys last visit to the Linc..
But this is Mike Florio, and he’s not gonna acknowledge that, how would that make his beloved G-Men look? Florio didn’t you have Giants/Cowboys as your game of the week in Week 2 – how is this game not bigger than this?
Yea, it’s Steelers/Broncos, two of the most boring teams in the league to watch…forget about the explosive offenses of the Boys and Birds, the Steelers/Broncos will be filled with 3 and outs, and will be a boring game entertainment wise.
Florio, it’s pathetic when you choose to downplay teams like this just because the Giants are doing what their doing (failing miserably). There is an obvious pick here, one of the most obvious picks of the year thus far.
Game of the week by wins is Colts 7-0 v Texans 5-3, its also a divisional game.
That’s an awful lot of special effects for just a two-minute segment.
Denver will be dominated again this week as pittsburghs defense is similar to baltimores’. I agree with the others…Game of the week is Philly vs Dallas who are both hitting their stride coming into this matchup.
The Game of the Week can go to Philly-Dallas or Denver-Pitt but the game everyone will be talking about Monday is the Dolphins triumphant day over the Patriots and all new craze Parcells and Sporano will unleash. Go Fins.
I am sorry, any team that loses to the Raiders is removed from any game of the week talk. The Ravens vs the Bengals is by far the most intriguing matchup of the week.
Let’s just wait and see which Philly/Dallas teams show up to play, k guys? Is it gonna be the Eagles that lost to Oakland a few weeks back or the team from last week. And don’t even get me started on the Cowboys. Denver will only get the respect we deserve after we clinch a playoff spot, then maybe all the “luckiest team in the world” crap will subside. That being said, it’ll be interesting to see how Denver responds after getting whooped up and down the field this past week.
I agree…about that battle for 1st place in the toughest division in The NFL-The NFC East ? How’d ya pick Pitt/Den ?
“Broncos are not anywhere near an elite defense”
2nd in scoring defense, and the special teams gave up 7 last week, as well as another 7 on a stupid offsides.
Our defense is elite, 2nd in scoring D in the NFL.
Get a clue Florio.
Keep hating.
You sure are carrying that grudge from when we won the AFC Championship in Pittsburgh in 98 a long time!
Best division in football (this year) is the AFC north, sorry hap, the Giants are dragging that division down, and I think the Cowboys are largely paper, Romo will take a dive in three weeks if not before then.
Baltimore Cincy is BY FAR the more interesting matchup. Whoever said that Pitt Denver would be a boring ass game was right on.
Not to knock the Dallas Philly game, very interesting in and of itself, it’s all relative though eh?
Just want to know why, Mr. Florio, you’re not calling the Steelers out for even “considering” allowing Clark to play?
You went ass over tea kettles when the Eagles didn’t immediately rule Westbrook out. You continued all week to say how this is another poor decision they were making and how awful it looked to not take a concussion so seriously as to list the man as “out.”
Now, you don’t blast the Steelers for doing the same thing?!? This guys been to Denver twice and it has been awful for him. Come on, put up a post that says, “the league needs to step in and declare they won’t allow Clark to play.”
Really?!?

Is that a quote from Jim Zorn?
I love how the “Toughest Division in the League” is 3-3 against the AFC West. With the Cowboys barely pulling a win out over KC.
The Giants have only played the Chiefs so far and are the only NFC East team without a loss against the AFC West.
I’m very interested to see the match up when the season is over because the Skins have also only played the Chiefs.
Good luck with this “Toughest Division!”
Steelers + Ravens + Bengals > Giants + Eagles + Cowboys

The Boys and Birds yes always a FANTASTIC GAME! Just like the last time they played! The Cowboys really showed that they wanted to make the playoffs! GOD I CANT WAIT FOR ANOTHER CLOSE NFC EAST GAME!
I guess I’ll get in on this. Eagles – Giants. Easy.
AFCN>NFCE
I’m a Steelers fan, but I agree with jamaltimore.
It looks like there are four good matchups this weekend. The Colts/Texans game may be the best of the bunch although the Bengals/Ravens game looks interesting as well. I’m optimistic about the outcome of the Broncos/Steelers game. I think the Eagles are gonna brutalize the Cowboys.
GO STEELERS!
Dallas and Philly have both been VERY inconsistant this season (Philly getting beat by Oakland — Most of Dallas’ wins coming against winless teams).
Denver is the only 6-1 team and Pitt is 5-2. Denver did get their butts kicked by Baltimore. There line was dominated in a way that hasn’t happened since this line started playing together to start last season.
The Broncos are going to have to play better on both sides of the ball, but I will be surprised if this is not a tight, hard fought game.
