Brian Westbrook's absence from the Eagles lineup will only last one game after suffering a concussion against the Redskins.
Coach Andy Reid confirmed Wednesday that Westbrook has been medically cleared to play this week and is "good to go" against the Cowboys Sunday unless there is a setback. Reid even managed to make light of the scary-looking injury, saying Westbrook's head usually hits the shins of defender, but it hit Redskins linebacker London Fletcher's knee because they were "two shortest guys on the field." (Now we know why Reid never tries to jokes around.)
Westbrook's head injury was no laughing matter, but the game off might not be the worst thing for the rest of his body. After multiple surgeries this offseason, Westbrook only has 58 touches thus far in 2009. In theory, he should be fresh for the stretch run.
Strongside linebacker Chris Gocong, defensive end Victor Abiamiri and wideout Kevin Curtis are all missing practice Wednesday.

This website and its reporters should be the LAST to comment on someone elses bad jokes.
Westbrook answers to the name of Fido now. Outside of that he's fine.
While on the practice field, Westbrook blurted out "yo yo ma." He also shaved only half his face.
If anyone can recognize a bad joke, it's Cornflorio!
"Ha, that's funny right thar, I don't care who you are."
I'm sure Dallas is just terrified now.
Krow,
So what if he does? Put a mechanical rabbit along the sideline and give him a treat when he scores his touchdowns, and everything's fine.

They are if they remember the outcome of the last meeting.
Now what was that final score...hmmm
B-West may be an afterthought.. the way D Jax. J Mc, and Celek are playing... the best thing we can hope for is for them to gameplan to stop Westbrook.
Westbrook is going to be splitting touches with Mccoy for sure. Mccoy can do the same things that the "Vintage Westbrook" did. Westbrook is respected more and will serve as a distraction. Mccoy is in a good situation b/c he hasnt gotten the respect that he deserves yet. Cowboys will still gameplan for Westbrook and leave little attention to Mccoy.
I love all this Westbrook as a distraction crap. Brian Westbrook is still Brian Westbrook, and this year he will not be worn down for the playoff run. I think the best thing that could happen is teams don't make thier gameplan to stop Westbrook.
The only down side about McCoy is he's a rookie. And because of that he plays like a rookie. What I mean is when he hits the hole he tends to stutter step to make guys misses. He is still trying the same moves he did in college but hasnt completely figured out yet that it doesnt work here in the NFL. The guys are to good and to fast for that. But its not that big of a deal it happens to every rookie rb and wr. Also its good that he has Westbrook around to teach him that. And McCoy knows it he said that last saturday he was called over by Westbrook and told not to stutter so much in the hole to just hit and make his move up field. McCoy said that is why he broke that 66yard run against the giants b/c he listened to what Westbrook said and hit the hole head on.
