For the second consecutive day, the Chicago Bears didn't have their No. 1 receiver at practice Thursday.
Devin Hester, who leads the Bears in catches (35), receiving yards (454) and receiving touchdowns (three), sat out practice with a sprained ankle.
Hester said on Wednesday that he's planning to play in Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals at Soldier Field. But if he's not at full speed, that would be a problem: Few players in the league rely on their speed more than Hester.
Hester has started all seven games this season, but if he can't play Sunday, rookie Johnny Knox would start at wide receiver while Earl Bennett would handle punt return duties.

The Bears don't have a No.1 receiver they have starters at the receiver position.
Florio, where are your week nine picks? I need to get them in for my confidence picks by tomorrow morning. Tonight would be nice...
-Yeah, I know using Florio's picks for my confidence picks isn't the best idea, but I won last week with them.
gee I hope he plays.I would hate not having turner calling 1 of his wide reciever screens to him on 2nd. and long,or better yet putting him in the wildcat so he can be tackled 5 yards behind the line.I am still waiting for someone to name a worse play caller than turner, someone who I have pointed out makes sure not to call plays that work more than once game.catch a pass for a 20yd. gain?great play now run it up the middle next play for no gain.

That is 100% correct. Knox is the only real prospect in the bunch, and with grooming, he's probably a #2 or #3 receiver at best.
As far as Hester, he hardly knows where to line up on Sundays with a full week of practice, so it will be interesting to see how many times Earl Bennett and others need to tell him where to line up this Sunday now that he's missed some practice.
Number 1 receiver. Funny stuff, Florio!
-Hester go slant-in...
Hester: I can't...I just can't.
So called Bears fans, become haters after a rough start.... hey the Broncos are looking for fans so go.. Marshall was a nobody, Royal a nobody, until Cutler threw them the ball. Until Turner is gone things aren't gonna get better. Not Cutlers fault not the WR's fault..
