T.O. “not going to Cabo”

Terrell Owens isn’t having a particularly good season in Buffalo, but so far, he hasn’t thrown the Bills’ quarterbacks under the bus.

Maybe because he’s not done throwing his old quarterback with the Cowboys under the bus.

Owens was asked on Wednesday what he’ll be doing during the Bills’ bye week. He said he might go to Los Angeles to take in a Lakers game, and then he took a little shot at Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo.

“I’m definitely not going to Mexico, not going to Cabo,” Owens said, per the Buffalo News.

That, of course, was a reference to Romo and then-girlfriend Jessica Simpson taking a trip to Cabo San Lucas during the Cowboys’ bye week between the end of the 2007 regular season and their first playoff game. When the Cowboys lost that playoff game, there were suggestions that Romo wasn’t taking his business seriously enough, and that he’d rather party with starlets than be an NFL quarterback.

At the time, Owens was the first to stand up and passionately defend Romo against those “really unfair” criticisms. But now Owens is only too eager to criticize Romo himself.
