At this stage, it would will be a lot more newsworthy if a Jaguars game isn't blacked out in Jacksonville. (The team is holding out hope that a December game against the Colts can sell enough tickets.)
The team officially announced Thursday that Sunday's game will not be televised locally. The Associated Press anticipates that the team could set a record low in attendance for the second straight game. The Jaguars host the Chiefs this week.
Not every Florida team will be blacked out. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers announced Thursday that Sunday's game against Green Bay will be televised loclaly. (We wonder how many Packers fans will be in attendance?)
And for the second straight game, the Bengals have received a 24-hour extension on their blackout deadline for a big AFC North battle against the Ravens. It would be depressing if the most meaningful game Cincinnati has played since 2006 wasn't seen by the Who Dey faithful.

GO BUCS!!!
Hey, it's something to cheer about :-(
"It would be depressing if the most meaningful game Cincinnati has played since 2006 wasn't seen by the Who Dey faithful."
If they were that faithful the game would already have sold out. With the team off to the start it's had you'd think selling out would not be a worry if they had a decent fan base.
Seems to me that if they're actually "WhoDey faithful", they could come up with the jack to buy a freaking ticket.
Why don't they just cover up the seats like they do in Jacksonville?
They are still going to lose. Go Pack!!!
It will be the first time in many years that the Packers won't have to worry about the Bucs defense.
The "who dey faithful," at least those of us unwilling to give our money to this "Front Office," will drive to Louisville or Indy to watch the game.
200 or so total miles=$30
Beers at bar on Sundays = $3 per? I can live with that, total tab less than what it would cost to purchase a ticket, well worth it.
Cue the dolts telling me I'm not a "real fan."
please stop talking about the bills moving. we haven't made the playoffs this millenium and we still sell out every game. our season ticket base is 50,000+. seems to me like toronto or LA could use a team like the jaguars!!
The Bengals have a current 48 game home sellout streak since 2003 ... and counting. Such ignorance as HarrisonHits displays as to the state of the local economy is likewise depressing.
I remember when the Browns clinched the division in Cincy in 1980, the place was literally filled with Browns fans. Not like half, but more near 90%. Check it out on the Kardiac Kids season DVD. Just shows they never had a very solid fan base.
I'm pumped baby!!! Can't wait to see the "future" debut in the "first" orange and white creamsicle unis. With the start of the Freeman Era comes the fate of Raheem Morris' career in Tampa.
Why would I choose to buy an upper deck, nosebleed ticket to the Bengal's game instead of buying one from ebay or CL, for about the same price, but a much better seat? Also, per the city's lease agreement with the Bengals, which they no longer have to make any payments after the couple of years they did, the city is financially liable to cover the loss revenue from the unsold tickets. In my book, that is called a sellout.
Hat's off to Buccaneer Nation for staying faithful during these very trying times!
I'm sure their will be a good size portion of Pack fans there for the "Bay of Pigs" reunion.
But, it's still a statement for the Buccaneer faithful.
First off as a born and bread Bengals fan from the Natti who was a season ticket holder up till this year, its not embarrising to see them blacked out in my mind. First, its 2 winnings seasons in 20 years under Mike Brown. I won't give him any more of my money but that don't mean i don't watch them on tv or listen to them on the radio. I want nothing more then the Bengals to win but I will not give that stubborn, tight-wad Mike Brown another dime of my hard earned cash.

Um yea, that's cause you're not. I enjoy Sundays at the sports bar as much as anyone, but I would much rather shell out a couple of hundred dollars to drive a lot of miles to sit in a terrible seat and pay $12 for a 23 oz domestic than to watch the game in front of a 60" HDTV with audio and drink $7 Jager-and-a-pint specials in a warm sports bar.
Why?
Because any TRUE fan knows that nothing beats the excitement and energy of actually being at the game.
Hmm..the economy is doing badly, money's already hard to come by these days, so it's tough to buy all these tickets for games..don't call our fans unfaithful, everything needed to go to the game and enjoy it is pretty expensive..in order to be a true Bengal's fan you gotta be pretty faithful anyway.
Have no fear, residents of Cincy.
There will be plenty of purple in the stadium this Sunday.
Nothing new for the Bucs. I remember Trent Dilfer getting very angry after a home game against the Packers when the home team was booed during their introductions. Their were over 25,000 Packer fans there and not all of them booed.
If Garcia was still with the Bucs they would have won at least one game this season.
The creamsicles are back!!
Wouldn't it be a shame if the WhoDey Faithful Season Ticket Holders finally got so pissed off at having the smallest front office, scouting department etc they got so fed up they dropped thier tickets. I mean so many ticket holders that even a waiting list of over 20k evaporated in less than 18 months? Imagine what could happen w/ 2 winning seasons in 20 years.
Oh wait,,,,
And then to read the comments of a Clowns fan talking about something that happened 29 years ago, yeah that's about the last time the Clowns were relevant.
VivaLaRevolution
It's Florida, those are "retired" Packer fans! Some of them are so old they remember when the Packers had a good offensive line.
I love to see the Jags with their Plastic covered seats and their Blackouts....boy Tag sure was smart when he picked Jacksonville over Baltimore for the expansion franchise....
Baltimore has been sold out for years with a waiting list....
What an idiot...
UW
You were right Tags...we should have used the money for a museum
"It's Florida, those are "retired" Packer fans! Some of them are so old they remember when the Packers had a good offensive line."
Well geez it wasn't that long ago when the Packers actually had a good offensive line. They had a dominant line back in 2004.
ACDC, BAAAAAHHAAAAAHAAAA, you have to be the dumbest poster I've ever seen here. If spending hundereds of dollars every week to follow a team regardless of how they're run (for twenty years) makes YOU the real fan, then you can have the title. Way to be a tard, BTW, I hope you haven't been giving the Brownburns your money every week for god knows how long, that would make you dumber than a bag of hammers.
Packers4... I was trying to be funny...you Pack guys are too serious! They also had a good QB at that time didn't they?
people who mock jags fans by saying LA Jags will be the first in line to say the LA Jags get to much play on ESPN.

Actually, by watching the Bengals on tv, you're giving more money to Mike Brown from the television revenue standpoint...and everything you buy in Hamilton County, a small piece of the sales tax that you spend goes into Mike Brown's pocketbook to help finance the stadium...so really unless you don't live in Hamilton County or you don't watch them on tv, you're giving money to Mike Brown in more ways than you know.
Buc fans ,observers , and such lets all go to the game with signs explaining how we feel about the present state of the Bucs organization. I'm gunna ! come on folks lets get there attention and get our signs on ESPN . Lets go national !!!
