On Friday Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Ty Law was headed to Denver, and on Saturday the Broncos made it official: Law, the five-time Pro Bowl cornerback, has been signed.
To make room on the roster for Law, the Broncos waived cornerback Jack Williams.
This will be Law's 15th NFL season. He played for the Jets last year and in 2005, for the Chiefs in 2006 and 2007, and for the Patriots from 1995 to 2004.
Law has 52 career interceptions.
Although Law is 35 years old and certainly past his prime, he still managed to start six games for the Jets last year, and before that he had started all 16 games for three consecutive seasons.

And the trumpets sound..
Just Like the Energizer Bunny Keeps on Going
hate to see jack williams go, look like he had some potential, but DAM TY LAW in orange and blue!
The Broncos went with the smallest risk in waiving Jack Williams over other candidates, such as Jarvis Moss or Brandon Lloyd, because rookie CB Tony Carter on Practice Squad is essentially the same player; undersized – fast – good man skills –doesn’t match up well with big physical receivers. Williams still has practice squad eligibility if he is not claimed, but he’s a good enough player that any team looking for a pure corner will certainly give him some consideration.
Thanks Johnny Jr. for your expert analysis. But I don't think anybody asked.
