Bears hearing the boos, loudly

In the preseason, former Bears quarterback Kyle Orton heard a sound in Denver with which he's very familiar.

Booing.

But now they're cheering him in Colorado.  In Chicago, they're still booing the Bears.

At halftime, the up-and-down Cardinals are winning by 24 at Soldier Field, 31-7.  Near the end of the half, a field-goal try by Bears kicker Robbie Gould was partially blocked.  Antrel Rolle returned the ball 52 yards from eight yards deep in the end zone, and Neil Rackers completed the six-point swing with a 43-yard field goal after quarterback Kurt Warner quickly got the team into field-goal range.

And so the home team heard it loudly from the paying customers while leaving the field for intermission.

A week after a Delhommian six-turnover day, Warner has completed 17 of 22 passes for 189 yards and four touchdowns, with no turnovers.  For the Bears, Jay Cutler has completed 13 of 17 for 175 yards, a touchdown, and no interceptions.  But Chicago has been unable to sustain drives -- and more importantly unable to stop the Cardinals.

A loss would put the Bears three games behind the 7-1 Vikings, and Chicago and Minnesota have yet to play this year.

What a dumbass organization. An aging defenese and no draft picks. The new LION of the north.

Who are these Bears you speak of? Are they a UFL team?

Yeah Mike. This one's on Cutler.

    Delhommian?

    That's cold, Florio.

Cutler must feel like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day...the Bears sure look like the 2009 Broncos to me...minus the skill players...

The Pandas are a complete joke! They have sunk to the Lions depths. Like we normally tell Chicago fans each season, better luck next year!

amazing how that clock in Foxborough stopped on :01 like that. not the first, and not the last, time we hear about nefarious acts up there. Patriot supporters/whiners lining up to piss and moan in 3, 2, 1...

What an embarassment the bears are today...the best thing about the game, they switched it to a different game after the first drive of the second half.

You could have ended that with the word today.

Where are all the people that were saying what a GREAT addition Cutler was. I said long time ago he was nothing without decent WR's and they are proving me right. Hester is good on returns, but is only a 3rd receiver anywhere else.

Now before the bear whiners come out, yes, they should have called interference on that pass to Olson, but that still wouldn't have helped any overall......

You liking this game florio? Going to do the "who are the cardinals" thing again? I also enjoy waiting for your pathetic spin on a cards victory. Better start getting creative.

Cutler continues to be a terrible addition...

Crazy, the defense gets some stops, the o-line isn't a strainer, and all of a sudden, Cutler looks pretty freakin good.

Hey, at least JC played really, really, really pretty in this blowout loss.

This is the beginning of the end for Lovie.

There's a reason Gay Cutler hasn't had a winning season since high school. The guy is NOT a winner. Sure, his personal stats are decent like today, but it wasn't until they were down 24 points that he decided to do anything. By then, it was way too late as his team had been defeated. But hey, at least he did some good stat-stacking so it looks like he wasn't the problem.

Oh, BTW, thanks to the Bears for another loss! Looks like Denver moves up yet another few more spots in next year's draft. Top 10 pick here we come baby!

News flash: Cutler stinks. His crybaby antics and selfish attitude rub off on teammates. Who cares if he can throw the ball hard??? He doesn't even know how to spell WIN. Thanks for all draft picks, morons.

People keep saying how Cutler sucks, what about Turner? C'mon Forte only got 5 carries, may as well trade him if there is no intention of utilizing him. Turner leaves things will get better. Lovie is always claiming we get off the bus running, so far this year.... no run what so ever!!!! Players are there, where the hell is the play calling?

  18. GreatGallopingGhosts says: November 9, 2009 11:30 AM

I think it fair to say that the Bears didn't even show up to play. Football is a team sport, you win as a team and you lose as a team. Critical of Cutler as many folks are, he was not responsible for the Cardinals scoring 41 points.
Lovie is going to feel a lot of heat for this one, even more if they can't handle the 49ers this Thursday.
Too soon to say if this season will bring coaching changes in Chicago but if next season turns out like this one is panning out to be, you can bet there will.

I notice that florio only wrote this article. None of the other articles written about this game after it was over were by him. What's the matter Mikey? No guts? Couldn't find a bad enough spin? Tough to knock a blowout isn't it?

    Chicken %#@& as usual.
