Manning throws 40 passes in two quarters

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning entered Sunday's game on pace to set the single-season passing yardage record.

Today, he's also on pace to break the single-game record for attempts and completions.

Through two quarters, Eli Archie Peyton has thrown 40 passes, completing 26.  That projects to 80 attempts and 52 completions.

Both records were set nearly 15 years ago, by Drew Bledsoe.  In only his second NFL season, the Patriots quarterback completed 45 of 70 passes in an overtime win over the Vikings.

Indy leads the Texans, 13-3.

"Eli has thrown 40 passes, completing 26."

Come on, Florio.. Eli has picked up his game in the past few years, but there's still no mistaking him for Peyton.

What is really sad is that he has thrown that many passes yet at the time I write this, Indy only leads the Texans by 3.

It is typical for Lord Florio to make a mistake such as what people have said above, then cross out his mistake and add in the correction. He obviously added in the name Archie in a lame attempt to be funny. It didn't work.......

    Eli or Peyton? Decide.

Decide what? How much better Peyton is than Eli? How about much, much, much, much better?

Unlike Nancyboy Tom Brady, Peyton feels no need to pursue individual records in order to validate his worth as a QB in the NFL. The records that come merely do so during the course of his normal playing. Brady, on the other hand, had to stay in blowouts and run up individual stats in order to cover up his insecurities as an NFL QB. BTW, those three Super Bowls were won by the Pats defense, not BradyBunchBoy.

  26. patriots_jay says: November 9, 2009 1:15 PM

and how many championships does peyton have cornholio??

  27. patriots_jay says: November 10, 2009 4:39 AM

oh and yeah, he had to stay in the game... i'm sure belichick pleaded with him to come out of the game, wait who's the coach again? Its not a player's decision when he plays or doesn't play He goes and plays the game when he is told, hence why he's a player not a coach. before you run ur mouth saying dumb things, why dont you think about it first.
