Ryan Clark officially is "questionable"

Every once in a while (or less frequently), one of our predictions comes to fruition.

And it almost makes us forget the ones we got wrong.

On Saturday, we predicted that Steelers safety Ryan Clark will be listed as questionable for Monday night's game in Denver, due to the sickle-cell trait that claimed his spleen and gall bladder the last time he played football in thin air and high altitude.

And, indeed, he officially is questionable.

But the lock-down approach the team is taking tells us that a decision has been made, and that the Steelers are merely trying to eke some competitive advantage out of a serious health situation.  Indeed, if the situation were truly questionable, with his status hinging on how his body reacts once in Denver, there would be no reason for the Steelers to be so secretive about it.

Instead, no one is saying anything, which in our view means that the decision has been made.

Regardless of whether Clark will or won't play, it's wrong for the Steelers to hide behind the "questionable" label if, for the Steelers and Clark, the question already has been answered.

You need to get over this "hard on" for the injury report. Nobody cares, all you're doing is cluttering up the the page with this drivel.

He's listed as "questionable" because he'll probably be used as a referee. After all, that's how the Stealers****** win every game, isn't it?

I'll be so glad when this game is played so I don't have to hear about this anymore.

Why is it wrong? This isn't politics or friendship, it is a game. If the Steelers want to keep Clark questionable for strategy reasons, what is the moral dilemma? Who is being unfairly harmed by this move? I need to see an argument for why it is wrong. You don't point out the cause of it being wrong, you just assert it.
