Westbrook not expected to play

After Eagles running back Brian Westbrook sat out practice on Friday, word was it was only precautionary and that he'd play against the Cowboys on Sunday night.

Something appears to have changed in the last 40-odd hours, because Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Westbrook, listed as questionable, will sit out for a second straight week because of the concussion he suffered against the Redskins.

Per Schefter, an Eagles official was non-committal about Westbrook's status but two league sources said he they didn't expect him to play. If Westbrook is out of the lineup, LeSean McCoy would start and Leonard Weaver would likely see increased touches after a strong game against the Giants in Week 8.

I thought all ESPN did was plagiarize stories? It must be a pretty sweet gig to sit and watch the same pregame shows as eveyone else, then quote other reporters, and get paid for it...So,basically you're just the same as those who comment?

Hey ES, this IS a blog.

PFT is not the same as those who comment, because with ridiculous uniformed comments like yours this site would have faded away many years ago, and Florio would be defending some woman who just got caught stealing $72 worth of undergarment from the Wheeling WV Walmart.

EskinSux: Dude, what is he supposed to do -- NOT report it because ESPN got it first? He's doing a professional job of journalism by actually ATTRIBUTING HIS SOURCES. Get over yourself.

eskin If this site is so bad, WTF you doing here?

Also its too bad for you the only place you have internet access is where there is also a television tuned to every pregame show. Some of us actually can get out and live life and not have to sit and watch TV all morning. Then we can periodically check the internet, where ever we may be, and see what is up.

Luckily you get to race back and forth in our feet pajama's between both looking for something meaningless to complain about.

Schefter also said that Berrian was inactive last week.

I know i can't wait for ESPN to get on the internet....You think they would by now...It may have been meaningless, but you complained about my comment as well, isn't that the same thing?

I'm glad. I am a Vikings fan, and I tip my hat to Brian Westbrook. You just have to like him as a man and as a football player.

Keeping Westbrook out another game is just smart. Health is the main thing.
