Since this is a Rumor Mill, and given that we're in the business of mongering said rumors, we generally don't relish the task of shooting down said rumors.
But when we've got access to the truth and when the truth conflicts with rumor, well then the truth wins the rock-scissors-paper battle.
And so we're reporting tonight that rumors of quarterback Jeff Garcia getting a look-see from the Patriots are not accurate.
The rumor comes from PatriotsDaily.com, which claims that Garcia was on a plane to Boston, and that he said he would be visiting friends in Foxborough.
Per a league source, the rumor is inaccurate on both counts.
Garcia was cut by the Raiders on September 5. He thereafter spent a couple of weeks with the Eagles while Donovan McNabb recovered from a rib injury. Since then, Garcia has gotten no serious sniffs.

This is false journalism at it's apex.
I can ALMOST GUARANTEE Carmella has given Garcia more that a couple serious sniffs.
