Redskins-Falcons one-liners

Redskins QB Jason Campbell played through a pair of injuries but couldn’t lead his team to a better result than a 31-17 loss.

Redskins S LaRon Landry hasn’t received much criticism in the past, but he couldn’t avoid it following a poor game against the Falcons.

Several Redskins players said that coach Jim Zorn “went off” during his halftime speech.

The Redskins allowed five sacks in the first half, but Campbell wasn’t sacked during the final two quarters.

Ladell Betts and Rock Cartwright combined for 72 yards rushing after Redskins RB Clinton Portis left with a concussion.

Said Falcons RB Michael Turner of the uptick in his performance, “You get caught up in that, and sometimes you forget about making big plays. You’ve just got to ‘ball.’ It’s just a feeling you’ve got to go out there with that you’re not going to go down. I feel like I’ve been running hard, but looking back, I had to step it up a little bit more.”

LB Curtis Lofton thought that the Falcons relaxed too much after they took a 24-3 lead.

CB Tye Hill turned his first interception as a member of the Falcons into his first NFL touchdown.

Falcons DL Jonathan Babineaux had 2.5 sacks in the second quarter.

The Falcons scored a touchdown on their first drive for the third straight game.
