Let it go. Favre wanted out of Green Bay and he got it. Ted Thompson did not have a diabolical plan to get Favre out of Green Bay and he didn’t force Favre’s retirement.

I completly agree I used to consider myself amongst the greatest fans in the world. Which don’t mean blind alegiance to the laundry, blind alegiance makes you ignorant. It don’t mean that when the greatest player in your teams history plays somewhere else you treat him worse than you ever treated any other opponent. It doesn’t mean to cheer for Brett Favre wherever he goes makes you any less a Packers fan. I never considered myself anything but a Packers fan, but I do also consider myself a fan of Brett. I am also a fan of Johnny Unitas, Chad Ochocinco,Hines Ward, that does not make me any less a Packer fan, but after watching the fans of the Packers in majority boo Brett Favre I also wonder how do I put myself in such a STUPID,IGNORANT,DISRESPECTFUL bunch of people who will soon be crying and whining about how terrible the situation is that they have helped create. The only dim witted bullshit around here is your undaunted allegiance to Ted Thompson. Even if you say you don’t like him, you’re still supporting him and his failings by blindly supporting his band of misfits. Choosing to cheer for Favre doesn’t make me a fair weather fan, it just means that I have the ability to think for myself, and I don’t need to support an egomaniac led team like a mindless zombie. I’m not jumping on a bandwagon, I’ve always rooted for Favre, whether his team went 4-12, or 12-4.
As far as who I will cheer for when Favre finally does hang it up, I don’t know anymore. I always believed that I would go back to the Pack, seeing as how Thompson and McCarthy will likely be out of the league before Favre. But after reading posts by the majority of Packer fans on here (not you in particular, you actually seem to have a brain), I don’t think I want to be included in such a group of mindless neanderthals. Most of your brethren show a level of ignorance that knows no bounds, and I’m not so sure I want to be part of an undeniably ignorant fan base.
Like I said before, it’s not all of you, but there are a lot more Bob Nelsons, Supersuckers, and packer4life’s out there than there are footballrulz and BeerCheeseSoups. I mean, read the previous posts, Pack fans are arguing with each other on here. I think maybe I’ll just root for Tebow next year, wherever he ends up.

I guess my being an owner really made an impression on you guys. Jesus…..I was just showing that I am a longtime fan. I know what the stock means. It means I own part of the team. That is what they mean when they say they are owned by the community ass8oles. Everybody knows who runs the team and the power associated with the stock. Try not to be so jealous. I AM a Packer fan. I have never said anything bad about a player or the team, just TT and MM. They ARE NOT the Packers. Just following them blindly will get you the 70′s and 80′s but most of you aren’t old enough to remember that.
I said I hope the queens win the Super Bowl for Brett and because I think that would be the death of the two dicks. I don’t live in the midwest so I don’t give a shat about the vikings. If you can’t understand that then blow me.
BTW….I did see the George Brett video before if it is the one about him shatting himself, but I didn’t remember that term. I will agree that it IS funny as sh1t.

That makes your point? Hardly. Jerry Glanville did well to get what he did for Favre. At the time Glanville traded him, Favre was a shiftless drunk loser. There’s no reason to think he would’ve amounted to anything else if he had stayed in Atlanta. He certainly wasn’t endearing himself to his coaches.
Hindsight’s 20/20, though. Glanville probably bragged about the trade immediately afterwards. Interview him now and he says he always knew Favre would be special. Right, Jerry. That’s why you sent him packing. The truth is Favre looked like a shit player and a bust when Jerry sent him away.

I don’t understand why Packers fans continue this illusion that their team is talented. It clearly isn’t. They are talented at cornerback, wide receiver, and arguably QB (I personally think that Rodgers is a good QB though his play has been falling off as this season progresses).
But there are other positions. Linebacker, Defensive line, offensive line, and running back. They are terrible at those positions. Barely any talent. Tight end they are average. Safety they are average or just below.
They aren’t very talented overall. They aren’t particularly well coached. They lack veteran leadership. Ted Thompson has got to go.

Your name must be like when you call a fat guy Slim or a tall guy Shorty, cause you are an idiot. Ted Thompson could have gotten Randy Moss for a 5th round pick. Ted ran the best Quaterback in the NFC North out of town. Ted has wasted picks on Justin Harrell and 6 offensive line-man in the three years that he had Favre. He drafted Terrence Murphy,Craig Bragg,Greg Jennings,Ingle Martin,Brandon Jackson,James Jones,David Clowney,Korey Hall, and DeShawn Wynn to help Favre out in those three years. So 5 are still on the team and only 2 are contributing anything(although Hall contributes very little on offense). So Proffesor your ignorance about why the Pack is so bad is obvious. Ted Thompson in his efforts to run Brett Favre out of Green Bay has made sure the team will be in irrelavance by the end of next season. Being a proud Packer fan is a oxymoron right now. There is nothing to be proud of as made obvious by the Packer fans comments that have shifted from Football descussions to personal attacks on the opposing fans. My what a difference 1 1/2 seasons make. Let me explain what I mean by that. We don’t need Brett, to wait till he starts throwing INT’S at the end of the seasons. They have started hating Favre because they are fully aware that he still had alot left in the Tank.

Once you get past the hatred and name calling (what is this? A GOP anti-Obama spin off site?), the main point is that even with Brett, GB would not be any better off. He would have been scrambling to save his life and trying to throw passes into key holes. The Vikes have a much better OF line and that is that. They have a stud running back..that is that. The Pack has none of that. Now, we seem to forget that outside of Brett’s brilliant 13-3 season, lost because he tried to thread a needle in OT (just like always) the years before that were not so good. The reason he left was that he just didn’t think he had to come to spring training. Didn’t want to do that. That is why he signed late with the Jets and with the Vikes. Plain and simple. The Pack got tired of waiting for him to make up his mind.
Now that doesn’t take away the poor execution of the McMeely coaching. I was not in favor of this guy when he got hired. I was not in favor of TT either. This is where the blame lies…the top evaluator-in-chief and the head coach. Not all that capable of things.
McMeely insists on a verticel game and right now with his OF line, it needs to go horizontal till they stop rushing the QB.
Aaron Rodgers can be the successor here but blaming him for all of this like blaming the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. He is in the wrong place at the wrong time. Complaining about the long time he holds the ball isn’t really his fault entirely when he is running for his life each play. If he could dump the ball off then he would have a chance but who is going to catch it for him? Ryan “ironhands” Grant? Maybe Ahmen can help till he gets hurt. Use Koon more? Perhaps but that will get figured out and then what?
The entire OF package needs an update and the DF 3-4 just isn’t the package for GB.
So c’mon guys, let’s stick to real football, save your name calling for the news and come up with something intelligent. Or maybe that is all most of you are capable of…complaining with no solutions…just like the GOP…HAH

Incredibly useless post. The Vikings are 7-1. They have defeated everyone they were supposed to, and the only loss was to the defending champs, in their house, in a game that went down to the wire.
Their average margin of victory is over 11 points per win. The slate of teams hasn’t been impressive, but they didn’t make the schedule.
But if you want to use your logic, the Saints’ opponents have a combined record of 29-36, which isn’t terribly impressive. The Colts’ opponents have a combined 26-39 record, so I guess they must both be overrated as well.
Just be happy your team got a win this year, and also be thankful you don’t have to play the Tuskers.
