The Philadelphia Eagles will play the Chicago Bears in prime time on NBC on Sunday, November 22, the NFL announced today.
Eagles-Bears was already tentatively scheduled for the Sunday prime time slot, but the NFL uses "flexible scheduling" on Sundays in Weeks 11-17, which means the prime time schedule is subject to change. The NFL wants the best games in prime time, so some weeks an afternoon game from CBS or Fox will be moved to NBC.
In Week Eleven, however, Eagles-Bears is staying in prime time.
When games are moved to prime time in Weeks 11-16, the NFL will announce the move at least 12 days in advance. In Week 17, the league will make the scheduling announcement six days beforehand, in an effort to ensure that the final game of the regular season is a game with playoff implications.

This has nothing to do with bringing the fans the best game possible. This is strictly a big market audience grab. I understand it's a business, but I don't want to hear the networks applaud themselves for being on the fans side. Fact is, the Bears suck...really bad. I'm going to watch wherever the game is, but NBC could have provided a better game.
Bad move by NBC imo. Better games for primetime would have been... Indy vs Baltimore, San Diego vs Denver, NE vs Jets or Giants vs Atlanta.
Move the game!!!!! Eagles are 0-7 on NBC : (
I dont understand this one. Neither team is Elite as was proven recently so no one will watch it outside of Shittydelphia and Shitcago. HA
To mnrunleft;
Your a dope....we already said cbs protected nyj/ne....sd/den is too small markets=tv ratings killer.
Only bad games get flexed....this doesnt qualify as bad.
Patriots-Jets is protected by CBS. NBC may want to save Indy for another night. Giants-Atlanta would be a good call.
Eagles are not 0-7 on NBC, they are 17, they beat the Cowgirls on Christmas Day three years ago.
NBC doesn't decide the games. The NFL does.

Neither city has the beauty and class of Dallas-Fort Worth, naturally, but armadillos, tumbleweeds and closeted queers in cowboy hats are really what scenic America is all about.
Andy Reid, Lovie Smith.....it's the game mismanagement bowl.
dcowboys: I simply rather than saying "better games for primetime" I should have said more intriguing matchups. If the NFL truely wants the best games in primetime those are the best games of the week. Philly and Chicago is a non-divisional game that matches one team who may make the playoffs and another one who more than likely wont, add in the fact that there really is no story line or single superstar thats going to draw the casual fan and I feel NBC made a mistake keeping this game.

That was my attempt at humor. I am sure Philadelphia has some quality and upstanding citizens. I mean not everyone is an Eagles fan so there must be some class there right? And Chicago has single handedly became the breeding ground for the most politically corrupt people in the world. Yes world. Not just country, world. I will wait for the G.W. Bush and Texas response.
The unwritten rule is if a game isnt a dog it will stay....its that easy.
+ philly + chicago are big tv markets u have to take that into account.
"Eagles are not 0-7 on NBC, they are 17, they beat the Cowgirls on Christmas Day three years ago."
He meant to say that they're 0-7 on Sunday Night Football on NBC.
"closeted queers in cowboy hats are really what scenic America is all about."
Oh, no wonder they love those wannabes in Philly.

Can 2 men use 4 challenges in 1 quarter!? Tune in to find out.
It should have been Broncos vs Chargers because I'm going to that game!!
I am waiting for you guys to talk about the crappy games that air on CBS and Fox on Thanksgiving day.
Green Bay @ Detroit Fox
Oakland @ Dallas CBS
Nothing could have been done about the Detroit game, Detroit would have played on Thanksgiving anyway.
They should have schedule the San Diego/ Dallas game for Thanksgiving.
I will just have to hope some cable station airs Uncle Buck or Planes, Trains & Automobiles. No way am I going to watch either one of those sucky games.

Are you freakin kidding me? The OG Thug pops and son, who I remind you waged an illeagle war on irag, Bush boys are both from the lame state of texaSS! Leave the politics to the professionals and get your popcorn ready to watch the Bears whoop the Eagles!

I hadn't even looked into the thxgiving games yet. When I saw your post, I threw up a little in my mouth. Seriously, someone needs to lose their job over this. Oakland???? Really????
@Papabear
Ignore chapnasty. He's a typical red-state, xenophobic d-bag.
He's the kind of guy who probably still calls them "Freedom Fries" and thinks that anyone who isn't wearing a Cowboy Hat and Bolo Tie is a "Big City Lib-ruhl".
The kind of guy that thinks George W Bush is an actual Texan, and not a transplant from Massachussetts who fooled him and his ilk with a southern twang, some poor business skills and a big ol' hat.
This is terrible news for Eagles fans because in the last 7 games the Eagles have played on Sunday they are a combined 0-7
