Harbaugh apologizes to Jerry Jones

Last week, we passed along a quote from Ravens coach John Harbaugh from a recent book saying the Cowboys “stand for everything that’s wrong with the NFL.”

Some of you laughed, some cried, and the mass quantity of polite responses to the post was enough to push some old Rush Limbaugh stories down the PFT’s most commented rankings.

We suspect this inevitable Harbaugh apology post won’t create quite a reaction. The Ravens coach called Cowboys owner Jerry Jones Saturday to apologize for the remarks. Jones said Tuesday on The Fan in Dallas that he accepted Harbaugh’s apology.

“I was able to be a little bit forgiving,” Jones said. “In 20 years I know firsthand I’ve had my foot in my mouth plenty of times.”

We can only hope the the warring Eagles and Cowboys fans in the comments can be so forgiving.

UPDATE: Former PFT scribe Aaron Wilson notes that Harbaugh said he was “disappointed with myself.”
