Way to think positive Nate. You were a good guy in Minnesota,we liked you. Best get this win. The dome is going to be a very hostile place to visit the game after. T. J. Who’s cryin’now snubbed the Vikes for the Seahawks. We all remember. Want to crush the team he is on. Ziggy wants his wine and dine money back out of his ass. So do we. Oh,Nate. Patrian-your right why is this a big deal? Every player goes into every game thinking they are going to win. If he told the media his mindset going into the game who cares. If he goes into the game thinking hes not going to win he would be playing in the UFL…then again hes plays for the Seahawks its close.

The media is way too enamored with this “guarantee a win” and “guarantee playoffs” bull crap. Who cares? This guarantee crap has devolved into this easy way for guys to get the spotlight for nothing.
The thing is we all know that Burleson isn’t positive they will win. He talks like he’s so confident but the Seahawks aren’t good enough to be real confident to be honest. They aren’t stupid. They know there if a very good chance that they can go in and play hard and lose to the better team.
I bet if you could somehow add up all the guarantees of victories or of playoffs and do a statistical analysis you would find out that players guaranteeing things has absolutely no bias on the end result, positive or negative. It is just stupid spotlight grabbing crap and the media falls for it every time.
Wake me up when a player guarantees that his team will LOSE. Now that would be news.

damn it Nate. It’s bad enough we even were in a position to be down 17-0 to the Lions, now you’re talking about beating the Cards?
I hope some of your bodyguards are willing to play guard or tackle b/c our offensive line is as holy as Shaun Alexanders argument that he can still compete in the NFL.

Good luck. You barely beat the Lions, and probably wouldn’t have if not for a sad second half by a new, young QB.
The Seahawks will be lucky to score any offensive TD’s in this one. The Bears have a much better defense than the Seahawks and they got burned badly by the Cardinals.
This game will be the blowout of the year. Or it would have been if not for the Titans destruction by the Patriots earlier this year. I still wish they’d left in the starters for the whole game. Would have been the craziest stats in history.

Somebody forgot to tell Nate that when a player or coach “guarantees” a win, the team is supposed to be pretty good to begin with. The Seahawks are crap and none of them should be going around guaranteeing anything – including that they won’t all fall and break their legs coming out of the tunnel.
