The Redskins have announced that safety Chris Horton, a surprise contributor as a seventh-round pick in 2008, has been placed on injured reserve.
Horton injured a toe against the Falcons on Sunday.
Earlier this year, Horton was removed from the starting lineup. He returned to start the team's most recent two games.
To fill the roster spot created by the move, the Redskins re-signed running back Quinton Ganther, who was cut on November 7.

Darn it. A magical season, down the drain. Curse you football gods!!!
