For the second time this year — and also for the second time in his career — quarterback Jay Cutler has thrown four interceptions in a game.
Cutler threw his fourth one early in the fourth quarter of Thursday night’s game against the 49ers. It gives him 16 for the season.
In Week One, Cutler threw four picks against Green Bay.
Amazingly, however, the Bears are still in the game. San Fran leads by one, 7-6.
man a good 7-8 picks he’s thrown this year have not been his fault.
Just as Bears fans thought they were safe at the quarterback position…
They don’t call him “Big Game Jay” for nothing.
I’m a huge GB fan, but it looks like Minn. should win this division pretty easy. GB can’t block anybody, Lions can’t beat anybody, and Cutler can’t throw it to his own team. I was just wondering if it is actually possible to “gunsling” it from inside the opposing five yard line.
I love you Jay Cutler!!! Keep throwing Picks!!!
Maybe mix it up with a pick 6 now and then.
and this article is for a just in case we didn’t see your other articles regarding cutler? you’re a douche florio
Four picks, and they’re down by just ONE POINT?
By the way, can somebody check and see if Orton has any four interception games this season?
This is one ugly game. But who wouldve thought that the Orton for cutler trade wouldve benefited the broncos this much. In the words of Denny green “he’s not what they thought he was”
thanks ron turner.you have taken a young proven qb and destroyed him!why on every 3rd down play do you find it necessary to call a play that comes nowhere near the yardage you need?3rd and 8 lets throw it wide to hester or better yet try a run yea that has worked.it’s like he is just picking anything he can think of and tossing it out.thats ok lovie still loves you and has put this behind him and is moving on as usual.yhanks lovie for taking a superbowl caliber team and destroying it because you are to stubborn to make changes.and also for thinking that offense is not part of the game.
How the hell do we keep up with this piss poor play??
Sexy Rexy is really enjoying the game tonight.
@shaggytoodle
well said lol yeah this is a gunslinging division I guess. Aaron Rogers isn’t as much of a gun slinger as he was when I saw him at Cal but between him, Stafford, Favre, and Cutler this is quite a division. Although Rogers has line to blame.
Almost as exciting as that Browns/Bills game.
Jay’s my hero!
Make that 5 Picks for Cutler!
Make that 5 picks!
YOU GO GIRL!
This story has a typo. It should read 5 Ints. In case anyone is wondering Cutler still managed to create a .55 points in my fantasy league.

Ya think? LOL
Make it five!
Make it 5.
Mr. Florio is going to have to post another article on this game. I hope he rips the Bears apart for the farce that they are, from upper management to coaching to players. Please don’t leave out the FIVE int’s by Harry Clam.
Make that 5.
I especially love how Millen was gushing about how this drive was exactly the sort of situation the Bears went out and got Cutler for. So they could finish off the other team and y’now, win the game.
Great choice of analysts NFLN. He’s going to be just as good on air as he was a GM.
Bahahaha nice job Bears nice job! Cutler is worse then Favre ever was with the whole gunslinger thing your in for some trouble he doesn’t listen and I am sure the picks aren’t his fault right bears fans?
Can the equation for QB rating produce a negative number?
Jay Cutler! Choke yourself… with my hand you idiot! I know there a good number of folks out there in Denver with an ear to ear grin right now…
If only I had two 1st round and one 3rd round pick sitting around in the garbage, I could have a “franchise QB” who leads the league in bonehead plays! If only the Bears were so lucky to be in my position…

The story was posted well before Cutler threw his 5th.
Cutler is on my fantasy team…good thing he’s not my starting QB though.
Wow. Florio can’t even keep up with Cutler tonight. Better wait a few more minutes, Mike. He might toss a couple more picks before the post-game press conference.
Good to see he made it a nice round five picks. Couldn’t happen to a bigger douche.
Tune into the Bears vs. Eagles game where Cutler will attempt to break the single season INT record in two games.
Wow. Even with two picks that were Devin Hester’s fault, Cutler really, really played bad.
Man, the Bears really, really suck. They really need to hire a quarterback guru.
this makes the wild card push very interesting:
chicago, GB, SF, NY, Phill, ATL. even seattle and carolina could jump back in with wins this weekend
should be quite the finish this year.
Niners suck, Bears suck…the Lions would destroy these teams.
Make that 5!

ok – I checked… Orton has 4 int’s for the year, although he did have 3 against Pittsburgh. Cutler sucks…
Take heart Bears fans, at least with that record you should have a top ten draft pick next year ….oh, wait a minute…
What are the Bears doing? Jeff George is tanned, rested, and ready.
At least Jeff George gets the ball to the OPEN receiver.
Rivers was right about Culter. What a big baby.
Wow, what an amazing game!! Wish the NFL could have flexed this one!
And people laughed when they found out the trade-breaker in the Cutler trade was Kyle Orton going to the Broncs.
Looks like the Donkeys got this one right.
As a lifetime Bears fan, this is the most exciting quarterback we’ve had in 20 years. How long have we been saying “if we only had a decent QB?” If the Bears had one decent deep threat, the entire offense would change up. Cutler will get it done when he has the team to support him.
Go JAY the [there's no such thing as an innocent bystander] GUNSLINGER!!!
I always thought that Cutler reminded me a lot of Favre circa 1992 – 1994: Gun Slinger, Can make throws most can’t, Fun to watch play, Never made a throw he didn’t think they could make, Penchant for throwing picks.
Difference is Favre won more than he lost and Cutler doesn’t. A lot can be said for attitude. Favre, even when throwing picks, had the fun loving, hillbilly “we are going to win” attitude and his teammates were always behind him. He also got his game under control when he had competition from Brunell.
Cutler on the other hand pouts like a spoiled frat boy who just had his girl friend leave him and blames everybody else in the frat house for it.
Each week I see more Jeff George than Brett Favre in Cutler. The Bears have paid a dear price in picks and a long term contract. Cutler’s problems give the Bears a reason to push Lovie out the door and to bring in a QB mentor such as Holmgren or Gruden, or his old coach Mr Shanahan. Maybe the Bears should also bring Jeff George in for a little competition.
man you guys are all such homers, lol wow. if any of your fav. qb’s was on the bears he would be putting up the same numbers. if any of you morons actually watched the games you would know the majority of his interceptions aren’t his fault.
the majority of his picks may not be his fault- as you claim- however, the important ones always seem to be.
@minimafiaaj…ofcourse you would say that but the most important pick that he threw that game was his fault and his fault only. He tried to force something that wasn’t even there, if he had just thrown the ball away they wouldve had one more shot at the end zone. Get your shit straight “mobster”
Jared Allen will be wearing Cuntler like a new tattoo after he kills him. No loss though, not like you gave up much to get him. WHOOPS?!?! My bad. You sold the farm, the future and your souls!!! LMAO
