Westbrook practices on Thursday

One of you has pointed out, Twitter style, that the Thursday night game (Bears-49ers) will force some fantasy football owners to make decisions without knowing the status of guys who might or might not be playing on Sunday.

For example, how can someone choose between Bears running back Matt Forte and Eagles running back Brian Westbrook when it’s unknown at this point whether Westbrook will be probable, questionable, or doubtful for Sunday?

The good news is that Westbrook has taken a step toward playing on Sunday.  After missing practice on Wednesday, Westbrook returned to practice on Thursday, fully participating despite a concussion and ankle injury.

Westbrook suffered the concussion 17 days ago during a Monday night game against the Eagles.  He was knocked out when the knee of linebacker London Fletcher hit Westbrook in the helmet.

Last week, Westbrook fully participated in practice on Wednesday and Thursday before missing practice on Friday.  Officially labeled as questionable for the Sunday night game against the Cowboys, Westbrook ultimately didn’t play.

Also missing practice on Thursday for the Eagles were safety Quintin Demps (ankle), linebacker Akeem Jordan (knee), and tackle Jason Peters (ankle).

Never mind. Schefter just tweeted again that he read the injury report wrong.

Westbrook is more of a flex back like Sproles, only an idiot would play him over Forte.
Anyone whos smart would have picked up McCoy and might as well release Westbrook.
He is talking like he is scared to be hurt again, bad stuff coming from a RB.

Or if they were thinking about betting a teaser including these 2 games.

Sad to say but it looks like Westy is near the end. He’s been a fighter but the body just ain’t holing up.
