I* would not call the hit “dirty”, but it certainly wasn’t necessary. Weddle is a great player, he can make that tackle without the helmet on helmet contact.
boltmancraft, I wouldn’t say the outcome of the game affected the fine, in fact the endgame was irrelevant. Try and view it rationally.

on NFL’s video website you can see the hit clearly at the 23 second marker, and you can even see some ACTUAL helmet to helmet hits by Harrison and a few other guys who don’t get fined, who by Weddle’s fine standard, should be.

Colts CB Jacob Lacey was fined $10,000 for “excessive celebration.” He appealed, and according to the article below, they didn’t just reduce the fine, they threw it out completely.

He knows how to make a tackle, and he doesn’t feel the need to strike a pose after making a play.
Cromartie could learn a lot from Weddle, in terms of tackling ability.
Keep an eye on Brandon Hughes, man can he hit.
