Betts active for Redskins

Redskins running back Ladell Betts is active and will start for the Redskins against the Broncos at FedEx Field on Sunday afternoon.

Betts had been listed as questionable with a sprained ankle, but he wasn’t on the list of Redskins inactives announced a short time ago. He’ll share time with Rock Cartwright and Quinton Ganther on what Mike Klis of the Denver Post reports will be a soggy track in Washington.

The Broncos will be without tackle Ryan Harris for the second straight game because of injuries to his toes. Running back Peyton Hillis is inactive for the second straight contest as well, although he practiced all week after missing Monday’s game to be with his family following the death of his grandmother.

NFL.com has all the inactives for both teams.

And in other breaking news: Water is wet
You really just wasted space writing an article to tell us what EVERYBODY already knew? Of course Betts was going to play with Portis out. All they have been talking about all week is how he was going to get the bulk of the carries today.
