Betts expected to start for Redskins

There are multiple reports this morning that running back Ladell Betts will start for the Redskins against the Broncos.

Betts has a sprained ankle, and he officially had been listed as questionable for Sunday’s visit from the Broncos.  Starter Clinton Portis will miss the game against his former team due to a concussion suffered when he took two helmets to his helmet last Sunday at Atlanta.

Per Adam Schefter of ESPN and Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, Betts will start.

But he’ll likely share touches with Rock Cartwright (Cartwright! . . . . Cartwright!) and Quinton Ganther.
