Report: Michael Turner may have serious ankle injury

And somewhere Larry Johnson is smiling.

On the same day that Bengals running back Cedric Benson left his team’s win in Pittsburgh with a hip injury, the Falcons lost running back Michael Turner to an ankle injury that, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, may be serious.

Turner will have an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the ankle injury.  Turner could miss several weeks if he has a high ankle sprain, which affects the ligaments that attach the ankle to the leg bones.

Given the Falcons’ experiences with Mike Vick, they might not be inclined to sniff around Johnson.

For the Bengals, hey, as long as Johnson didn’t kill a judge he’s eligible to join the effort.

Larry Johnson is presidential material when you compare him to the piece of shit formerly known as Mike Vick.

Your material’s showing its age. I think the lease is up on that gag.

hey florio, that crap happened four years ago. don’t be bitter because the bengals beat your steelers. time to give up on the jail jokes. then again, i guess that’s all steeler fans have on the bengals as far as this year goes – four year old jail jokes. pittsburgh fans, go ahead and bring on the “sixburgh” comments, which also have no relevance to this season. face the fact that your boys lost twice to the “bungles.”

Congrats Whooodeeey, you beat the Steelers twice. Your trophy is in the mail. I like how winning six championships is not relevant ‘to this season’. Whatever helps you sleep. To that, I would say that never winning a championship is relevant every season until that changes. Remember last time the Bengals won the division? Good times.

Mike sometimes I can’t understand how you make the most ignorant comments and still draw a paycheck. Its dry, old, simple, and so generic it is almost disappointing that you have this vehicle to tell a story and this is how you use it.

    Also noted in today’s news:
    “Football players may get concussions”
“Broken legs can sometimes be painful”
“H1N1 Virus may lead to sneezing”
Brilliant story Florio. Gotta give credit to the Atlanta-Urinal-Constipation for writing this gem. They should say “The extent of the injury is not known” Instead they say “IT COULD BE CAREER ENDING”.
Yeah, and you wear out some stupid jokes.

Shit wasn’t even about Vick in any way and you’re bitching about Vick. ffs.

That AJC is nothing but a guessing game – there’s no actual reporting there.

My original comment speaks for itself. I’m not afraid to give credit where it’s due. In previous seasons, the Steelers earned their championships. Apparently, steelerfan does not know what the word relevant means. Sure, the Steelers are a great organization – but the fans are sore no matter what. When they win, they talk smack. When they lose, they just remind you that they usually win. I don’t care what you think champ, the Bengals just beat your team for the second time this season. Deal with it.

I remember when we last won the division – 2005.
    Good luck sleeping.

Snelling looked pretty good, so we got a bruiser back. What the Falcons need is for their speed back to get healthy.
