Ronnie Brown’s X-rays negative

Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown left Land Shark Stadium on crutches after injuring his right ankle in Sunday’s 25-23 win over the Buccaneers.

The good news: his ankle isn’t broken.

Brown confirmed to Armando Salguero of the Miami Herald his x-rays came back negative.

I don’t think it’s too bad,” Brown said. “We took x-rays. We’ll wait to see what happens.” Despite missing most of the second half, Brown ended up with 92 total yards and scored his first touchdown since Week Seven.

Ricky Williams finished the game as Miami’s featured runner, generating 102 yards on 20 carries and catching two passes for five yards.

While Brown’s injury doesn’t appear to be season threatening, his status for Week 11 is uncertain. The Dolphins visit the Panthers next Thursday night, and the short week definitely won’t help Brown’s chances of playing.
