Tomlinson has a day to remember

It’s hard to imagine LaDainian Tomlinson having a more memorable Sunday than the one he just completed.

Tomlinson enjoyed his best performance of the year by far with 96 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 24 carries to key San Diego’s 31-23 victory over the Eagles.

And that wasn’t even the best thing that happened to him.

Speaking at his locker room after the game, Tomlinson got emotional when talking about a gift bag his wife left for him before kickoff.  He thought a necklace might be inside, but instead it was a positve pregnancy test.

LaTorsha and LaDainian Tomlinson are expecting their first child.  They were reportedly trying to get pregnant for a long time.

Congratulations to both Tomlinsons.

(Oh, and congrats to Philip Rivers too.  Flawless day.  The Chargers are now tied for the lead in the AFC West with a trip to Denver coming next week.)

Wow. That kid is going to have a lot of capital letters strewn throughout his first name.

Oh fantastic. She left him a stick that she peed on.
“I love you sweetie, here have this thing I just pissed on.”

It’s like having twins……..Mrs. Tomlinson can look forward to changing two sets of diapers come playoff time……..

wtg first 5 commentors on upping the ante for classless humor (Yes, they are extremely funny, but you are still pricks for it).
Congrats to the tomlinsons, after LT turned from soft spoken absolute class act into grump-old-man-concerned-only-about-how-great-he-is this year I was a fan of his.
The question now is whether or not this will push him closer to retirement, or motivate him to perform at his previous high level in order to get out of changing diapers.

    Congrats to the Tomlinsons.
In other, far less important news, LT also had a milestone day on the field. He passed the great Marcus Allen for 3rd all-time in TDs scored, and he also passed both Thurman Thomas and Franco Harris on the all time rushing list.
All around a great day for him.

Typical morons that come on this site. The first 5 commentors(and Im sure there will be even more) are perfect examples of losers in life that have nothing better to do with their time than to come on here to test out their lame Letterman wannabe one-line routines.
Jerk offs, mouth breathers, basement dwellers, and morons. What zero class all of you have.
Congrats to L.T and the Mrs.

I’m sure Giant fans will call LaTorsha Tomlinson LTT because they don’t want anyone to have the initials LT. Because, afterall, Lawrence “Don’t Smoke Crack” Taylor is the only person allowed with those initials.
On a serious note, congrats to LT. He looked very very good today against the tough Eagles D. Hopefully he could get things together and have a monster second half. He deserves some praise after the meat grinder that the Boston media put him through the year he won Man Of The Year. He really is a very good guy, but that gets overlooked because he wears his helmet on the sidelines and sits next to Lorenzo Neal on the sidelines when the defense was on the field. sad.

Of COURSE Tomlinson blew up today. After half a season of getting exactly bupkis from him in my lineup, I benched him.

  12. BasicInstinct says: Nov 15, 2009 10:54 PM

    That explains everything!!!!
Sex three times a day for the last two years…..no wonder he’s sucked.
I wonder if he serviced her four times a day during the playoffs.
What a great excuse for sucking.

San Diego’s 31-23 victory over the Eagles.
I can’t wait for OchoCinco to change his name to LaOchoCinco, it is all the craze now a days.
    LaMike Florio
    LaGregg Rosenthal
Who would have thought two letter could add so much sophistication to a name?

9 months from now…..hey, that baby looks just like Norv Turner…….

pulling down a man on the day that he gets the news that he’s going to be a father … try to be classy once in a while guys

  16. Lance19 says: Nov 16, 2009 2:11 AM

    Wow!
How much of a loser do you have to be
to turn a story about a good day on the
    field + getting a long-wanted pregnancy
    into something to bitch about?
So happy I don’t share those chumps’ bitterness.

  17. steelerfan9598 says: Nov 16, 2009 6:21 AM

As a grown man with kids, I think that is cool. If you are a young man without kids, check back in a few years and this story will make more sense.

  18. kenyatta says: Nov 16, 2009 9:28 AM

GREAT FOR THE TOMLINSONS,HOPE ITS A BOY so we can read about him in 21 years in the league,

  19. sm2sm2 says: Nov 16, 2009 10:35 AM

Well done M/M LT. Would it put too much pressure on ALL involved to hope for (least of all me to live another 20 years) the same type of deja vu play by play call that has Jerry hanging a star on T Gwinn almost a decade after Mr. San Diego retired?

  20. GB3Pack4 says: Nov 16, 2009 11:17 AM

    Congratulations to the Tomlinsons!
(And apologies for the smarmy comments of some posters)

As a young father (22) with two kids (2 years and 6 months), I say congrats to L.T., ‘cuz no matter how his season turns out, it’ll be a year to remember for him.

  22. superduperboltman says: Nov 16, 2009 12:10 PM

The first comments are just examples of the putrid minds and hearts of so called “football” fans. When you can’t respect life, you don’t deserve to have one.
Congrats to L.T. on a truly special day on and off the field.
