Wade Phillips is doing a good job. He may not be the best in the NFL but the Cowboys are still 6 and 3 and there is still alot more football to play. There are many teams out there right now that are only 1 and 8 and 2 and 7. Wade is doing fine and the Cowboys are still in the running for the playoffs.

Not really. Everyone knows Garret is calling the plays. Problem is, he has shown a tendancy to rely too much on the pass instead of his very capable RB behind the very capable O-line.
Phillips needs to be listening in on Garrets calls to Romo and he needs to every now and then, override when Garret forgets when it’s time to throw and when it’s time to run (i.e. 1st and goal at 4 yard line).

Seems like the Cowboys coaches know that in a situation like yesterday (close, defensive game, blitzing on early downs) you’ve got to run the ball. I don’t think they believed they could run. Except for the Bengal game, the Packers have played well against the run. Injuries? Does Dallas not believe in it’s run game? I just get the feeling Wade is doing some finger pointing here. Would they dump their offensive game plan in the second quarter without telling Wade? They were calling plays on down and distance and IMHO they wanted to throw the ball and be “explosive” on offense. Is Wade throwing Garrett under the bus when it blows up in their faces?

Bill Parcels is the only coach in the history of the Cowboys not to be fired by Jerry Jones.
That Packer defense when properly used can cause a lot of turnovers. They are 4th overall and 4th best rushing defense. 4th in INT’s. But have slipped to 8th in passes defensed as so many passes are thrown away or are wildly inaccurate. 6th in Passer rating given up.
The Packers deserve the credit for being a good football team.

Good coaching,unlike phillips and Garrett would have had the offense prepared for this type defense,it reminded me of the Raven game last year when the offense appeared to be lost. ALSO we could have had capers coaching our defense if it hadn’t been politicly incorrect to hurt stewarts feelings. We will never have a super bowl team as long as jerry has a yesman as coach.
