Ronnie Brown likely out for Thursday night

The good news for Dolphins fans (and certain fantasy football owners, like me) is that the x-rays on the ankle of running back Ronnie Brown were negative.

The bad news?  Per Adam H. Beasley of the Miami Herald, Brown is likely to miss Thursday night’s game against the Panthers.

His absence throws a wrench into the team’s Wildcat attack.  Ricky Williams possibly would become the new captain of the alternative offense.  Or rookie Pat White could possibly get more snaps.

Back at the end of September, the Thursday night game in the middle of November looked to be a stinker, given that both teams opened at 0-3.  But they’re each 4-2 since then, and hope remains for a berth in the playoffs.

I guess I have to go to a professional football webpage to find out the other team that was 0-3 and 4-2 since then?

It doesn’t matter what the implications for the Wildcat are… other than one play of 45 yards against the pathetic Bucs, the wildcat hasn’t done squat in the last 3 weeks.
