OK, so the "other" game of the week wasn't nearly as exciting as the Sunday night contest.
Indeed, it was ugly. No quarterback threw for more than 180 yards. No running back ran for more than 40. The only touchdown came on a kickoff return in the first half.
So, yeah, the Pats-Colts game was much better.
Good luck persuading Bengals fans of that.
By taking down the defending Super Bowl champions, the Bengals completed an unbelievable 4-0 run against the two AFC finalists from a season ago.
So regardless of what happens the rest of the way, the Bengals deserve an award for that accomplishment. And since the inventor of the Terrible Towel doesn't have nearly enough things named after him, we'll call this symbolic prize the Myron Cope Trophy.
Since it's unlikely that anyone will ever again go 4-0 against the conference finalists from the prior year (given the rarity of the two conference finalists coming from the same conference), the Cope Trophy will change hands whenever the Steelers, Bengals, or Ravens goes 4-0 in that home-and-home round robin.
Given the manner in which these three teams routinely beat up on each other, the team Cope routinely called the "Bungles" might be holding the non-hardware hardware for a long time.
Cincy's performance also drew high praise from our NBC colleague Peter King, who explained how changes to the defense have made the Bengals much better.
But the proverbial "banana peel" to which Dan Patrick refers in the above segment could still be lurking. To be a truly great team, the Bengals need to beat -- not just outscore, but beat -- the next three teams on their schedule: the Raiders, Browns, and Lions.
The Bengals previously allowed the lowly Browns to take them to the last seconds of overtime. Now that the target on that striped shirt is growing, the Bengals can't afford to exhale when playing a supposedly bad team.
For the Steelers, all hope is not yet lost. Four years ago, the Bengals supposedly delivered the death blow in early December, dropping Pittsburgh to 7-5 by winning at Heinz Field. And the Steelers responded by running the table, beating the Bears, Vikings, Browns, and Lions before heading to Cincinnati for a rubber match.
Bengals fans know how that turned out. Steelers fans do, too.
This year, these teams seem to be destined to meet again, just like the Colts and the Patriots. Though the rematch between Indy and New England might be viewed once again as the sexier matchup, folks in Cincinnati and Pittsburgh definitely will disagree.
as a steelers fan I know all about ugly wins. i thought the bengals were a legit playoff team when they beat us the first time... now i think they're a legit championship team.
they could potentially get a first round bye w/ the #2 seed the way their schedule looks from here out.
Congrats Bungles fans, we'll see you again in January.
Mad props to the Bungles. Great win, you guys are for real. The game itself was a yawner but a win is a win and Cincy earned it. I hope the Steelers get to see them in the playoffs, but they won't if they keep playing like they did Sunday.
I hope Mike Tomlin is smart enough to fire his special teams coach this morning. This is getting ridiculous. They can't stop returns, nor can they make a decent return themselves.
I'll be damned if I accept a trophy named after someone associated with the Steelers. How about the Paul Brown trophy?
"Since it's unlikely that anyone will ever again go 4-0 against the conference finalists from the prior year (given the rarity of the two conference finalists coming from the same conference)..."
I think you mean "given the rarity of the two conference finalists coming from the same division..."
Other than that, good to point out what the Bengals accomplished.
I live in Southern Indiana. Yesterday was a great day for our area! First the Bengals, then the Colts!
Who Dey!
Go Horse!
Yeah, you have to go back all the way to last year to find the last time one of Pittsburgh, Cincy, or Baltimore swept the other two. And all the way back to 2002 to find the time before that (when Pittsburgh swept the entire division, 7-0 including the playoff game against Cleveland). It'll probably never happen again.
I cannot possibly route for a team that has Chad Johnson on it. I am not a fan of shameless self-promoters, and I refuse to be an enabler by calling him by his new name.
This was good, old fashioned football. Those who complain that it was boring don't understand the game. The Bengals went into Pittsburgh and gave as much violence as they received. They are tough and they are for real.
Wrong again Florio, just like you were wrong with the Bengals-Ravens pick, just like you were wrong with the Bengals-Steelers pick. I love how every story with the Bengals is about how they have to keep going and play well against the lower competition. Isn't that true of everyone? Did the Saints almost lose to the Rams or was that my imagination? Did the defending NFC champs almost lost to Seattle or did I dream that up too? What about the Eagles losing to the Raiders? The Pats almost lost to the Bills in Week 1 and the Colts almost lost to the Texans.
But where you are wrong is in the sense that you said the Bengals can't just outscore the next three teams, they have to "beat" them. You are mocking the Bengals (I knew you'd find someway to do it since you're a Steelers fan) with non-hardware hardware , but then you talk about how they must beat these three teams convincingly. The NFL doesn't handle their postseason like the BCS. The Bengals can win the next three games by a combined three points and it won't factor into their national championship hopes one bit. The Steelers weren't a "truly great team" in '05 when they won their Super Bowl, based on your description of the traits that qualify you for that position. The Giants weren't a "truly great team" in '07 when they beat the Pats for a Super Bowl. Neither were the Pats of '01.
You still believe that analysts decide who are the real champions and who are the paper ones. What you haven't come to realize is that you don't matter in the slightest as easily attested to by the last two times you picked the Bengals to lose. This sport is finite, you either score more than your opponent and win, don't and lose or you tie. You have enough wins to make it to the playoffs and then you find out who will be the last team standing. You don't care about whether they beat Oakland by 1 point or if they beat them 59-0. All that matters is that you have enough wins to make it to the playoffs. Perceptions are your own problem, not any team's problem.
Gotta come out of the next three 10-2, hands down, we can't get trapped out on the west coast to start. Keep the focus Bengals.
Turn the page on the "Bungles" smack please.... I get that we dont like eachothers teams but atleast try to original with the name calling...
Where's Kimo Von Olhoffen when you need him. Just kidding.
All trash talk aside, great win and great sweep by the bengals. Hopefully we will get another shot in the playoffs. With the mostly cream puff schedules they both have left (the ravens twice will be tough for the steelers). Bengals should win the division and Steelers should be able to pull off a wild card. It was fun tailgating with the begals fans at the game. They, like most afc north fans, know how to trash talk and take it and understand it is all in good fun. hope to see you guys in the playoffs. Till then I'll be that guy in Ohio eating all the humble pie. luckily they know how to make a good humble pie in ohio (years of practice will do that). ha.
My worry now is the Bengals are going to be to relaxed against these not-so-good teams and shoot themselves in the foot. We're good at that. Let's keep focused guys and put them all in their place!
Hey the Bengals won and won an ugly a$$ game which we would of lost in the past by 2 td's. We have run the table so far and have only the Browns, but come on with the Bungles. Everyone still doesnt give us a chance in hell and that works in our favor. The biggest problem with this team is they play to their competition. So, great point by Florio the douche, but get back to blasting our non season tix holders for not buyin tix and helping mikey boy line his pockets.
hopefully the bengals will pick up some primetime games this year or next!
Yea the game may have been boring for those who root for teams outside the afcn. Compared to the Indy Pats game its was a snoozfest. However, I think that the Bengals and Steelers show that they have the formula for winning championships...that being defense. The \Pats and Colts wouldnt stand a chance between those two afcn teams, because they wouldnt be able to score that much...period. And their D would definitely not stop cincys offense. I like Cincy, and I like their chances
The Bengals really are an awesome team!!!
Superbowl here we come!!
shinsnake:
spot on. a win is a win is a win.

Bungles will never go away. it is a classic. like Eagirls, Cryboys, Stealers/Stinkers, Clowns, Yonkos.

If the locker room reports are to be believed, they didn't even celebrate that much. A couple sites talked about how their locker room was more corporate than crazy or it was as silent as the upset Steelers fans filing out of the stadium. I think the Bengals are all business this year and hopefully they can play well enough to make the playoffs, by 1 point or by 30, I don't care how they do it.
Flex games???
Bengals at Minny and San Diego.
I cant wait to see them in primetime!
Wow, Steelers fans with class, this is new...
Great game, see you in the playoffs.
@shinsnake ...
Well said!!! After sweeping the AFC runners-up and the Super Bowl champions, I fail to see why the Bengals need convincing wins over the Raiders, Browns, and Lions to prove anything. That IS the great thing about the pros compared to the BCS debacle. A win is a win.
As for boring games, am I the only fan that appreciates good defense?
No, it's not over for my Steelers. But like Ollie, I hope it will soon be over for some of the coaching staff. Arians (OC), Ligashesky (ST), and Zierlein (OL) are all concerns for me. The play-calling when we got the ball back with two minutes left was hideous. A kick-return score is almost a given each game now. And, taking nothing away from the Bengals great defensive rush, the o-line only seems prepared every other game. The receiving corps had the dropsies this week, too. We have a lot of work to do before we can dream of repeating the 2005 run.
I have never seen an asterisk next to the number in the win column. For you Steeler fans, that's the "starry" shape above the number eight.
Its amazing what the effects of the NFL's current policy on performance enhancing drugs are. In the 70's, Lambert, Green, and Co. would have just broken guys legs, arms, whatever it would have taken to turn the game around.
And, the post game reports would have been on how wonderful of human beings the Rooney family is.
Things are changing.
@ianwhetstone
Its not the sweep that's rare, its sweeping the two teams that were in the conference championship game in the prior year. so the steelers don't qualify with their sweeps for that point.
@kravon
i love the bengals, but i hope you're joking/ another teams fan and being sarcastic. thats the 2005 attitude that amounted to nothing. oakland, here we come. thats all there is to look forward to.
the bengals can improve in every area on the field. and to reach any goal, the team has to improve each week. i think we found out some things about scott, and hopefully we don't have to pound benson for 40 carries again down the stretch.
It has to be such an exciting time to be a Bengals fan.
Your team has the second best record in the conference after 10 weeks.
Wow, I am so jealous.
Deb, stay classy. You are the most reasonable Steelers fan I have ever met.
Shinsnake, I have to wonder if the Bengals weren't celebrating as much because they expected to win the game? When you expect to do something, celebrating isnt as fun, unless its a Super Bowl win.
Have to point out: the Steelers have 7 rings. The Bengals have 0. The Steelers have good management, ownership, and a great organization. The Bengals have question marks in some of these areas, but have a good, dedicated coaching staff. The Steelers have good fans. The Bengals have good fans. The Steelers have lousy bandwagon fans and the Bengals have lousy bandwagon fans.
Its nice to have a huge amount of comments on AFC North matchups. Reading through all the bullshit, I still learn things from reading all the comments. This is why we are fans!
Was a beautiful game. Pats Colts was good, but could never live up to the hype unless it was a playoff game.
Hate BigBen and the Steelers but they have a heavy fan presence where ever they go, truly one of the best fan bases. Guess winning SB's does that - Viqueers could learn some lessons from the Steelers.
Bengals looking sharp, but dont think they get the hype as everyone is waiting for them to hit that banana peel.
Shinsnake,
Damn good post! Right on point...With us it always has to be something else or "do this" or "Do that" while others do the same ISH and its all good....
Well all I ask is that I need ALL writers, analyst, commentators to CONTINUE TO PICK AGAINST US! Say we suck say we cant play say we will never be ISH say our defense sucks! Keep saying it! We need all the motivation we can get.....
The ENTIRE country picked the Steelers and Vegas watched MANY PEOPLE lose their money yesterday....LOL Thats good stuff!
The name "Bungles" is now more a term of endearment for Cincy and a tribute to Myron Cope than it is meant as an insult anymore.
GREAT defensive win by the Bengals yesterday. Not happy the Steelers lost of course, but they made too many stupid mistakes to deserve to win that game. Hats off to the Bengals defense...they impressed me yesterday.
I'm 99% positive both teams will make it to the postseason, and the best I can hope for is an AFCCG meeting between the two. How great would it be for the AFCN to run back to back championship games.
Special teams on the Steelers absolutely needs another makeover, and for sure Jeff Reed is gone after this season. I've never been so ashamed of him as I have been this year. Just an all around bad day for the Steelers, it happens. I see no reason they can't go 12-4 or even 13-3 and go deep in the playoffs.
What happened to the dude last week, that proclaimed that "the Steelers will win 38-10, write it down, mail it to your mommy...."?????
I am so pumped up!!!!
Go Bengals, go!!!
Now I know we definitely shouldnt have any blackouts this year.
So, yeah, the Pats-Colts game was much better.
--
Say what? A throwing fest of touch football is better than the outstanding defensive work both the Steelers and Bengals performed yesterday.
Each defense tightening in the red zone several times!
The Pit/Cin game was a far better footbal game than that game that ended by a supposedly brilliant coach make the dumbest call in all of football history and his superb QB who calls a timeout after the time stoppage after his team had received the ball.
If i want to see that kind of Ind/NE action , I'd watch arena football.
Yeah, it's pretty rare that a conference championship game has two teams from the same conference. It's also pretty rare that the Super Bowl has two teams from the NFL.
Do we really need another BS, fake trophy. it's all noise entill we get that "L" word trophy. I dare not say it's name but watching the Sunday night game between the two conference favorites I had one word in mind...SOFT. My Bengals can gun sling just as good as either of them, but we can kick your butt on D too. I think Pitsburgh is a better team than either one of them and we just beat them twice. this new team is built to kick the dog snot out of the Steelers. I fully expect to have a bye the first round of the playoffs and I fully expect the Steelers to get by whoever has that 3rd or 4th spot. and of course I fully expect to make it 3 in a row. hopefully it will be in the AFC championship game.
Vegas and most NFL pundits havent beleived this years bengals.. id say their D came around half way through last season, has been playing great ever since and they have an O.. they should bet the North Division if they dont falter or catch the injury bug.. that game was a big statement that hopefully the rest of the NFL will hear.. no excuses from this Steeler fan.. 0-2 this year... but playoffs are for all the marbles... hope to see you there!!
Its oddly quiet around here. Where are all the pompous $hitsburgh fans today!?! Did the bandwagon get mothballed?
Congrats on the win Bengal fans.

Hiding in a AFC thread shit talking the Vikings as usual? You can run but you can't hide! LOL Don't blame you chickenshit, NFC Norse fans ran you out of our threads. U Shits weak dude, keep hiding! Congrats Bengals, look forward to playing you at the dome. What Ocho gonna send us??LOL
Well, now that the Bengals have Deservedly secured the AFC North lead, imo the best conference in football, it's up to the Ravens and Steelers to battle it out for runnerup. Two games between the two, starting on Sunday night in Bmore, two weeks from now, should be interesting. Congrats to All Bengal fans; your team punched both the Ravens and Steelers in the mouth this year, and, imo, are the team to beat in the AFC.
Hats off to the Bengals. They have won these type of games all year. I didn't think they would be this tough on D with Odom out, but they proved me wrong. #59 (Johnson, I believe) was a beast yesterday, we couldn't contain him.
I thought both teams played hard and felt we were even on Defense and Offense, but the difference was in the Special Teams game. That return was the difference, figuratively and literally.
We have a tough road ahead, still have the Ravens twice, but I hope we can see the Bengals again.
Congrats.
@hineswardcriesafterowningmyteam
"Its not the sweep that's rare, its sweeping the two teams that were in the conference championship game in the prior year. so the steelers don't qualify with their sweeps for that point."
Yeah, except for the part where he says "the Cope Trophy will change hands whenever the Steelers, Bengals, or Ravens goes 4-0 in that home-and-home round robin," and then "Given the manner in which these three teams routinely beat up on each other, the team Cope routinely called the 'Bungles' might be holding the non-hardware hardware for a long time."
I don't care who won that game - That was AFC North football at its absolute best (I'm a lifelong Bengals fan)...
I'm amazed at the respect the Bengals are getting from Steelers fans - They talk a lot of trash, but they know when to eat their words.
@ steveinohio
I gave the Bengals their due... in the very first post of this story...
But kick the dog snot out of the steelers? please. you beat us by 6 points on a kick return for a TD. You didn't score a single offensive TD... You beat us the first time on a last second play. You've hardly kicked anything out of the steelers.
The Bengals are for real, but I don't know about the Bengals being the team to beat. They still have some holes on both sides of the ball and they may come to haunt them when they face a team that matches up well to them. It has been amazing to see how they are able to make up for their weaknesses throughout the season so far. I just hope they can keep it up and not have any let downs like the Houston game.
This team really reminds me of the Ohio State team that beat Miami in the BCS Championship game several years ago: ugly, grinding offense that never makes it look easy but somehow gets it done with a tough hard hitting defense. Week 11 may be Smith's debut, which may help the OL take it to the next level if he is as good as they hyped after the draft. Even if they don't win it all this season it has been a blast, and we are in a very good position for next year.
@ianWhetstone
fair enough.
i like what you with my name tag, and i especially like how hines owned my team yesterday. if that's what happens when he "owns" the bengals, mike brown should sell sell sell.
@ Steveinohio -
I am so proud of you being a lifelong Bengals fan!!
All the pain and suffering you have endured your entire life cant equate to the joy and exultation that now runs through your veins.
Cheers.
There is no doubt that the Bengals get up for Pittsburgh. Unfortunately, the Steelers don't get up for the Bengals and it might cost them.
Let's not ordain the Bengals as Super Bowl Champions yet but I am glad to see that this division will be represented better than it has been in the past.
I guess we all can't be in the NFC West
blestero1 -
You say the Bengals "still have some holes on both sides of the ball"...I tend to disagree. Both your O and D lines are very Solid - you don't dismantle both the Ravens and Steelers the way you did this year, without having muscle up front. You have a top echelon QB; a stud running back; and two excellent CBs. No, you're primed for a SB run, and I would bet on your team going the distance.
I loe a good underdog, it makes everything so much more exciting.
Go Bengals.
Marvin Lewis has done a great job turning his team around. Coming from a team that sticks by a coach through losing seasons, I give credit to the Bengals organization for choosing consistency rather than taking the easy route and firing Lewis a few years back. It’s paying off. When will other owners learn?
Truth is, since my team isn't going to win the division (correction--probably not going to win the division--still gotta be positive), I'm happy it's Cincy. They've earned it and proven they want it more (and heck, as long as it isn't baltimore, I'm happy—and I say this because I’m a Steelers fan living in baltimore and put up with a lot of crap from ravens fans--ha ha).
Now the Browns gotta pick it up. For so long, it’s been Steelers/Ravens in the division…and I must admit that I’ve enjoyed the easier wins…but I also like the competition and respect our division is earning in the league now that Cincy has stepped up. They're looking at a first round bye. Could you imagine another SB from our division?!?!?!?!
And OchoCinco seems to be getting better with age (and unlike most people, I'm not bothered by his antics--he hasn't shot, killed, or hurt anyone and he isn't getting busted for drugs or getting in trouble off the field, so a little fun on the sidelines is appreciated). One question—please tell me he has a good financial advisor. I do worry about him and all his fines. I mean, he doesn’t complain and seems almost happy to pay them. I just don’t want to read about him 10 years from now being broke.
Isn't this the second time this season that Jeff Reed has let a kick returner blast by him without so much as even an attempt at a tackle, or even a block? Pittsburgh has to step up their special teams, this is ridiculous.
Here is my list of our holes, you judge:
1. TE - no downfield threat - Coffman may be able to fill this hole if he ever gets activated.
2. MLB - Dhani Jones doesn't scare anyone.
3. SLB - I like Rey, but he will be better in the MLB spot next year and resolve the No. 2 hole above. After Rey at SLB we have nobody that can cover.
4. Nickel - so far this season our nickel has been Crocker and now Morgan Trent- you need three dependable corners to beat the Colts or Pats. Trent has improved the position since he took the spot after week 3, but I don't know if he is good enough- TBD.
5. Safety - I like their toughness in the running game but they don't cover that well. The Texans were able to take advantage of this as will the Colts and Pats.
6. Pass rush DE - We are now relying on a rookie who has only one move on his resume. He may become a monster in a couple of years, and he had a great game yesterday, but he is not a dominating force yet.
7. Offensive coordinator - He is doing well, but he is not one to mentally beat or out fox an opponent. He is much better than Jim Tressel, but he is no Mike Martz.
blester - 1. agree, but not overly concerned here, foschi can block and catch, we're a power team, yes speed there would be nice, but not necessary IMO.
2. Disagree, Dhani is more than just run and tackle,he's done a fantastic job getting this young D lined up properly and I believe he leads the team in tackles, he deserves more credit.
3. I like Rey too, and believe he will be great in the middle as well, provided he can communicate effectively and play smarter next year. Brandon Johnson could make the switch, he's the best sleeper signing we've had in years, he showed why yesterday.
4. I like Trent, but i also like David Jones, that said, I wouldn't mind the Bengals going after Ahmad Carroll for depth in the stretch run, rather than LJ, a move I'm very leery of.
5. Safety is a serious depth concern, agreed, not overly concerned about coverage though.
6. We are relying on Jonathan Fanene, not michael johnson, who is a pass rusher only, Fanene has been more than solid, especially yesterday. I feel pretty good about the front 4 rotation.
7. As much as I would like to see bob gone (still, yes), he aint going anywhere, he has now had success (twice) and is a MIkey fave, nuff said.
My biggest concern is corner depth, and now that LJ is looking to be a member, how his presence impact this team, again, VERY leery here.
kravon,
It must be easy being a fan of a team that is a perential favorite and has thousands of fans backing your team.
You're the guy who runs their mouth when you have a dozen of your closest friends with you, but cowards when you're out alone.
Being a lifelong Bengals fan means one thing......victories like this are all the sweeter.

Well, if the Steelers did not get up for the Bengals with first place on the line, and getting smacked around during your first meeting this year, then shame on the Steelers!
WhoPlaysWhere,
First, best friends on 3
....1...2...BEST FRIENDS!
Second, I love the way the Bengals are playing. I really hope it continues the rest of the season.
I am sure that Kimo/Palmer incident years ago added alot of unncessary anger to your life. Hopefully yesterday at about 4:01, you let it go.
Cheers.
Now maybe you steeler fans will wake up. Your team ain't for real this year. They don't have a chance to go to the Super Bowl. against good defensive teams the Steelers get dominated, and come playoff time they will see some good defensive teams, San Diego and Cincinatti.
"Well, if the Steelers did not get up for the Bengals with first place on the line, and getting smacked around during your first meeting this year, then shame on the Steelers!" --Ravens347
I hardly believe the Steelers got "smacked around" by the Bengals the first time. We had an 11-point lead in the 4th quarter. We couldn't hold the lead and the Bengals beat us. No excuses just facts. Hats off to the Bengals. But in no way did we get smacked around. Perhaps you were thinking of your game against them...
Either way, Cincinnati deserves the credit for both victories.
I feel most of Steeler Nation have been men in here, owned up to the defeat and given Cincy their due like we should. I recall this site being eerily quiet when the Ravens got "smacked around" by the Bengals in both meetings.
No need to start flinging poo Ravens347, we'll see you in Primetime in 2 weeks. No doubt that will be a battle.
@Favredaze ...
It's true, we were beaten by a better team yesterday. But we've already beaten San Diego this season. And who else ... let me think ... oh yeah, the Vikes. Guess your defense wasn't that dominating, huh?
Instead of coming here to "wake up" the poor deluded Steeler fans, you might want to focus forward. I believe you have the Bengals coming your way. And I'll listen to your advice on how to win a Super Bowl when the Vikings actually win one, um, no--make that six.
Favredaze -
Still bitter about that loss in Pittsburgh, huh?
Stupid refs....geez.
Maybe they "ain't" for real, but they were good enough to beat the Vikings.

I never comment in a thread that doesn't feature my team or at the very least my division (AFC East). But man, what a breath of fresh air. Thoughtful and measured comments from both Bengal and Steeler fans. Nobody going postal or declaring gridiron jihad. Nice to see for a change. Sorry to interupt. Carry on.

The Chargers are a good defensive team and SB contenders??? What are you smoking man lol.
I had to laugh in another story you posted that the real SB contenders this year were the Pats (who just lost to the Colts whose defense in so-so because they don't know when to punt), The Chargers who will only win the division again this year because it's November and that means it's time for the Broncs to have a meltdown (not to mention that the Steelers have beaten the Chargers already this season, and twice last year), and I'll give you Cincinatti because they do look really good and I love their defense, but they do have a nasty habit of "dropping the ball" in the post season. So it could go either way with them.
Next time at least use some kind of rational thought when making a post. The Steelers are going to go 12-4 or 13-3 (depends on whether they split or sweep the Ravens) and either get a top WC spot or possibly even take the division if the Bengals don't keep their foot on the gas. Lots of football left to play, anything can happen!
SteelersSB44 -
Yea, Ravens did get smacked around in their second outing against the Bengals - no denying that. Prime-time matchup in two weeks should be fun. And you're right, Bengals simply pulled one out at home against the Steelers, similiar to what they did in Bmore....just talking some smack here, and having a little fun.
@ Deb
I second that. They often forget about us women in here.
@ Deb and Spyboots
No disrespect ladies, I know "yoonz" are in here, I was just trying to make a point :)
@ Ravens347
No worries, I can dig it. :) Looking forward to the game. The way I see it, beating you guys twice is the only way we can have a shot a the division now. Not sayin it's gonna happen, just some wishful thinking on my part.
Mike Tomlin, it's time to gird thy loins and bench Arians like you did Mendy. Most worthless attempt at offensive coordination I've seen since Philly stomped us last year. Really Arians? 40 throws and you only run Mendy 13 times? Tool...Not even one series with a no huddle. Ben clearly having a bad game and you just keep on throwing. TOOL. Am I alone in thinking Arians just has to go. I'm so sick of this. Zimmer kicked your @ s s all over the field Arians. In the red zone I don't know how many times and don't even try to punch it in with Mendy. Parker comes in once and rips off a 9 yard run and then you yank him not to be seen again. TOOL. Bengal fans, don't even sweat seein' us in the playoffs if Arians is calling the plays!
@SteelersSB44 ... No problem. Just having a little fun ;-)
@Spyboots ... I didn't know you were a girl!
@SteelerStylee ... No, you're not alone in feeling that way about Arians. The play-calling was definitely offensive, and it's not the first time. I'd like changes in special teams coaching as well. And I'm concerned about o-line coaching.
whodey5-who the h are you? its a bengals award. not a moronic fat couch potato suffering from "wish it was me" wannabe player.sheesh! what a moron!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i'm a 30 year diehard steelers fan, but i'm glad the bengals are where they are.for several years they were close but injuries and bad breaks kept them at the outside looking in at the playoffs. they've finally enjoyed a great season and i'm sure this will be an afc north showdown in the afc championship.tired of seeing ray lewis in the post season! if the steelers don't go to the superbowl then i hope the bengals do and if they do, they'll be tough to beaat!!!!! go steelers!!!!!!!!!!!!......and bengals!!!!
