Cleveland Browns quarterback Brady Quinn says the NFL fined him a “significant” amount of money for a low hit on Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs during Monday night’s game.
Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports that Quinn confirmed today that he has been fined, although he declined to reveal a specific dollar amount.
The hit on Suggs came after Quinn threw an interception to Chris Carr. Quinn dove at Suggs’ knees, but he said after the game that he was just trying to make the tackle on Carr, not to injure Suggs.
Suggs limped off the field after Quinn hit him and didn’t return to the game. There’s no word yet on the severity of Suggs’ injury.
