Jets coach Rex Ryan doesn’t hide his emotions, even if that means crying in front of his team.
With the Jets season on the brink before a trip to Foxborough, Bill Belichick was asked if he’s ever sobbed in front of his players.
“I’ve coached 35 years, so I’ve probably covered most all the bases,” Belichick said before a long pause. “I think I even swore once too.”
That remark got laughter from the assembled media, including star PFT graduate Tom Curran. But the team clearly wanted to end the discussion of fourth-and-twogate.
“I’m worried about the Jets,” Tom Brady said. “We talked a lot about the Colts game and we have to move forward.”
Safety Brandon Meriweather said on WEEI in Boston Monday that he’s been waiting for this week’s matchup since Week Two. If the Patriots want to move forward, having a game against their biggest rival should help speed up the process.
Hines Ward and Kordell Stewart see nothing wrong with this.
Soooo, Rex Ryan cried? Or, Belichick indicated maybe he did once? I don’t get it.
What’s the big deal? The entire Baltimore Ravens team cries after every loss.
Dick Vermeil is the only one who’s allowed to do it without losing his testicles. Or guys who just won the Super Bowl but that window lasts only 2 hours.
I can see how losing 5 of 6, after a 3 & 0 start, could open the waterworks…if you’re Dick Vermeil .
Kordell “King of the Uglies” Stewart cries? Must be a beautiful sight.
I guess Fat Rex has come to the realization that waving poms poms and talking smack doesn’t mean a thing if you can’t coach.
With his limited knowledge on how to be a head coach in the NFL its obvious the pressure has gotten to him.
Not to worry, there will be plenty of teams looking for a good DC.
maybe he can bring Firehydrant Ed to Foxboro with him to lead the cheer from the bench.
JESTS, Jests, Jests
Remember Jests fans the true meaning of jets.

Year in and year out, it always means the same for the red headed football fans in new jersey.
Let me get it out of the way for everyone so we can get on with the rest of the day:
Belichick: “I’ve coached 35 years, so I’ve probably covered most all the bases,” Belichick said before a long pause. “I think I even cheated once too.”
Hardy har har.
From the title I presumed Favre called another press conference and retired yet again.
I love how every week the Patriots play their biggest rival: Indy? yup, they have met at the top many times over the last decade so they are their biggest rival. Miami? Yup, division opponent who has dealt the Pats their most losses within the division — their biggest rival. Jets? Regional, division rival that everyone hates — yup, biggest rival.
I’ve already told you once, it’s because he was told the team cafeteria was out of pie.
Belichick should wear his rings for this game. Everytime he puts the playcard up to his mouth Rex will see the light flashing off of them
The Stealers cry every time they get penalized for holding, and the officials feel bad and stop doing it. Hines Ward cries every time he realizes he’s as cheap as Brady Quinn. It happens.

LMAO Guess you got to have a sense of humor as a Bears fan! lol
As a Jets fan, I was pissed that 4th and 2gate occured the week before our game. I’m seriously worried.
No Kris Jenkins, no Jim Leonard and basically the rest of our secondary is an embarrassment (save for Revis).
May god have mercy on our souls.

5 out 5 on that comment, LMFAO, I think he should wear his 3 Pats rings on one hand, and his 2 Giants rings on the other hand……..but then again, perhaps he should just wear them all on his right hand, that way, when he goes out to shake Coach Dinkydo’s hand, he can shake with all his rings. And then it should be a reeeaaaaaalllllyyyyy long hand shake, so that none of the whiney bitches can say his hand shake was classless
You mean you didn’t see McNabb and Reid crying after the Cowboys went into Philly and outplayed the Eagirls?
so the jets beat the pats and now they are thier biggest rivals?belichek should wear his rings that way ryan can kiss them when he has to shake hands after having been beat down in this game. I don’t even like the pats but listening to somebody who has not won anything talk smack them they deserve whatis coming to them.
so what? romo cried in the shower last time they went to philly, and he cried after the butterfinger ballslinger episode in seattle too.
most of those guys arent grownups anyway.
besides, chris simms cried in the huddle too. maybe it had something to do with that permanently vented spleen.
PooFlingingMonkey,
Brian Dawkins doesn’t see anything wrong with it either.
Ray Lewis cries every time he loses
Dick vermiel cries every time he sees Terms of Endearment
Hines Ward cries every time he loses to the “Bungals”
Brett Farve cries every time he attempts to make a decision (except in those Sears ads)
Rex is in good company
I thought this was a (well deserved) blog post about me. BTW, I really love the game and I’m just having fun playing football. Are you sure this isn’t about me?
Hey Bus, get me back in the limelight, stat!
Funny how quick people are going to have to let go of the attempted fourth and 2 play. The rest of the way, despite who they play, I don’t see many losses (only one chance in New Orleans).
Hope you’re ready for a rematch Indy. Start preparing for it now because the only way I see you not playing this team again in the playoffs is if you dan’t make it past somebody leading up to the rematch.
My guess, and I’m no Patriots fan, is that this team puts on a show for the rest of this season. Nothing worse than a mad Patriots team except for maybe a hungry Rex Ryan.

Ha ha ha!

Maybe you should change your screen name to “Bill’s Manjuice all over your Chin”, poofter. Because it’s obvious you have the wrong kind of mancrush on Belichick.
LMFAO!!!
Rexy is all mouth. Talks and eats.
They won the SuperBowl in week 2 remember? What is there to cry about?!

Kid, seriously, you really need to stop posting here until you have the most basic clue of being a football fan. Calling you an idiot or a moron isn’t even fun now, it’s become too repetitive.
I’ll save you the trouble of “Googling” it:
The rivalry truly began in 1996, when Bill Parcells got out of his New England contract and became HC of the NYJ, taking a good part of the staff (Bellichick included), Curtis Martin, and several NE players. Bad enough Tuna skipped town, but to a division rival at that!
It grew further when Bellichick backed out of becoming the HC of the NYJ after Parcells retired as coach, to become the HC of the NE Patriots. It goes on and on from there, leading to Fat Boy Mangini bailing on Bellichick to become ….. say it along with me: HC of the NYJ.
There’s a ton of bad blood between these franchises in the past 13 years. You’re 12, you can’t possibly know all this, which is why you should Google any subject you are about to post a stupid reply to.
You’ve shown us you’re eager, Skippy, we can’t what until you learn how to use that brain.
PoorMORON2256,
I hate to bust your bubble, but the ONLY reason that New England chumps like you view the Jets as your biggest rival is because you all can’t deal with the fact that New York’s premier baseball team, the Yankees, have basically OWNED New England’s favorite team, the Red Sox. Only by pretending that the Jets and the Pats have some sort of big rivalry and that the Pats have dominated it in return, can you pathetic fools try and claim some sort of false superiority over New Yorkers. But in the end, the fraud is exposed, as the rest of the nation sees right through your lame attempts to cover up your collective gross insecurities. Get over yourselves, Pats fans…you and your region will NEVER be the equal of New York and its great mix of people. Boston and New England will ALWAYS be second-rate, no matter what happens in the sports world or anywhere else.
GFY, PoorMORON2256
As far as Ryan crying I don’t see a big deal in it, he let his passionate emotions slip as a rookie head coach in front of the media and I wouldn’t be suprised if we never see it again. As far as Myers SOJ B.S. ummm… when’s the last time we smoked N.E. at home… He kept the Saints high flying offence out of the game… we killed Miami in the 2nd game and “lost”. Look at the Jacksonville game we were doing pretty good against another starving team. As a rookie head coach I think he’s doing pretty damn good. I think his biggest mistake was thinking that he could throw Sanchez in there and do a repete of what transpired with Falco and the Ravens.
I nevered agreed with throwing Sanchez in so soon, Clemmons didn’t look to bad in his 6 games and he’s been in the system and getting tips on Pro teams for years. If anything I think Ryan should have manned up to his mistake and pulled Sanchez, At what point is very debatable but come on 6 interceptions in a game… two against jacksonville for 66 yards… Look at the losses we’ve had how do you win against teams when you throw them 7, 14, 21 points for free… The kid has something but he isn’t ready for the Pro’s yet.
With the exception of the first Miami game this defence has been playing great and pretty damn good after the Jenkins loss. The real problem has been in Sanchez’s turnover’s and if Ryan should find any fault it’s with putting the kid in to early and not pulling him and I’m not to sure he had full say in putting the kid in there, {Woody} of course that is open for debate.
So Rex please keep on mouthing off, keep on “crying like a baby” and keep on doing what your doing because it will eventually get there. As for us fans you need to do what I’ve already done… click on autopilot and wait for Sanchez to mature. {2010}
