Westbrook already ruled out for Sunday

To no one’s surprise, Eagles running back Brian Westbrook has already been ruled out for Philadelphia’s game this Sunday’s game against Chicago.

Westbrook is spending Wednesday in Pittsburgh visiting a pair of noted concussion specialists.  The test results Westbrook gets today should ultimately decide the course of the rest of his season, and possibly career.

LeSean McCoy will start at running back against the Bears, but the Eagles probably won’t be able to run the ball very much.  That’s not a bad approach considering how Chicago’s secondary performed against Carson Palmer and Kurt Warner recently.

Have you seen the Eagles play lately? Lost to Oakland, should of lost to Washington, lost to Dallas and San Diego. Their not that good. Philadelphia is growing tired of the same old story. As Obama would say, its time for a change and a change it what we want. Westbrook is done for the season, he stank anyways lately. Mcnabb should be traded in the offseason and at some point this season after we lose a few more games..he is benched. Andy Reid should be given his walking papers and a real coach like Shanahan (who runs the ball) should be brought in.

Westbrook needs to sit for a significant period of time, and if he wants to do anything else its a sure sign of the damage he’s suffered from the concussions he’s already sustained.

So what you are saying, is we need to have new/different people, continue to do that same things????
Obama made 3 promises in his campaigning:
    1) Fix the economy/create jobs (FAIL)
    2) bring the troops home (FAIL)
    3) end out of control spending of the previous admin (FAIL, he has outspent the previous 42 admins combined, COMBINED, in 7 months)

Almost lost to the Redskins? The game was over at halftime when the Eagles were up 27-10. The only way the Eagles would have lost that game was by giving up TDs to the Redskins defense, so going ultra conservative was the way to go. What game where you watching? You also forgot about the dismantling of the Giants the week after. Is this team a legit SB contender? No – but the NFC East stinks so its up for grabs. I hate Reid and his playing calling, but we both know he isn’t going anywhere as Lurie and Banner have some serious manlove for him!

The same Eagles that lost to the Dallas Cowboys and the San Diego Chargers back-to-back will pass more than they’ll throw ? I hope they have better luck than they did vs the Dallas Cowboys.

Hey chin, please take your political babbles to some other site. This is a football site.
I think Westbrook is done, he was terrific, but really hasn’t impacted a lot this season, and the injuries are only getting worse and closer together.
I don’t want to see him ruin his future with brain damage

Thanks Abe, dont get me wrong, I support the President, whomever he/she happens to be, because I am a proud American, but I can also see bull shit when I hear it………. I know there will be people offended by my remark, but sometimes the truth hurts, right….?

To Bill Cowher’s Chin, no problem I’m the same way and if people don’t like it, well tough.
ocelots138-Typical Eagle fan you are. Face it, both your Eagles and my Cowboys suck. We’ll both go into the playoffs and lose. Good thing for the Cowboys is that we just lack a good coach with discipline values and the Eagles need to rid themselves of McNabb and start Kevin Kolb. The few times he’s played, he looked like a real QB…more than McNabb ever has. Westbrook is done but you have McCoy and you also have a real TE in Celek but your DB’s are weak and your defense isn’t what it used to be. All that being said, anythng can happen in the NFL like key injuries to top players from both the Saints or Vikings then we’ll have our 1-shot to make it. Unfortunately, it will be all for not as the Colts, Pats or Steelers will ultimately win. Oh well, there’s always next year.

Abe, I don’t know you and you sound reasonable so I won’t get into it with you.
Hap is a troll that finds his way onto every Eagles or Cowboys thread with some smack to talk about the Birds. He’s like Vox Veritas, only dumber. I don’t have a problem with Cowboys fans, I have a problem with certain people on these boards.
I agree, we’re definitely the “NFC Least” this year. The Eagles are decimated by injuries on our defense and O-Line and it looks like the Cowboys O-Line is headed that way, too, with Columbo out. McNabb is in vintage midseason form (totally sucking) and Tony Romo still has to get through the month of December. Neither of our teams (or the Giants) are sniffing the Superbowl this year barring a miracle.
