Did people here forget that this “controversy” started when Randy Moss made comments to the media disparaging Revis’ performance against him? He couldn’t own up to being outplayed and hid behind the ‘oh they just doubled me all game’ excuse.
This ‘source’ also has a lot of excuses for the Patriots’ performance. One excuse that he forgot to make was the Pats complete lack of a running game. Jets have a great pass defense (2nd in the league), but have a pretty crummy run D (esp. w/o Jenkins). What’s gonna change this game? Maroney gonna finally stop being a bust? Doubt it. Pats fans need to hope the 0-line keeps brady clean and that welker can have a big game. Moss and the NE rb’s won’t be doing jack, just like last time.

Regarding the “source” flack Florio’s catching; people, use your heads. Someone in a position to review film intelligently is most likely on someone’s staff. If you were on a coaching staff, would you want your team/head coach/owner to see you publicly post a disection of another team’s performance when you should be, you know, going over film of your next opponent?
Or better put; if someone asked you to to post your opinion of your wife’s smokin’ hot girlfriend on a public forum she would very likely see, would you want her seeing YOUR name on it?

Did you maybe overlook a somewhat relevant point, my friend? Like, maybe, say ….. TOM BRADY MISSED THE WHOLE 2008 SEASON, IDIOT!!!!!!!!!
Brady came back this year, had some rust to shake off, just like Peyton did in 2008 (maybe you’ve seen what he’s been up to since week seven or eight of last season, much as Brady is going throu NOW?).
Like Manning, Brady is starting to work back to his old self, and the Pat’s are starting to light it up again.

The fact that Revis can’t let this go makes me wonder if Ryan’s mouth and over-inflated sense of self isn’t contagious. It’s not like the Jets don’t already come with ridiculous hype, but the addition of Ryan seems to be almost pathological. They seem to believe as a team that you can make inherent weakness go away by flapping the jaw or by smothering it with bravado straddling the line of self deluded lunacy.
Poor Jets fans…it couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch….

Well Revis. This weekend you get your chance to cover Moss again. Stop whining. I don’t hear anybody but you making a really big deal about it.
And when Moss lights you up for a couple scores and over 100 yards this week, despite help over the top, you can walk across that field and shake Moss’ hand for humbling you. Sound OK?

I see a bunch of PATS lovers and Revis haters. Including you Florio. you seem very impartial. Revis will hold his own. The Jets beat them once this year, so there is no reason to think that they don’t have a another chance.
Maybe Tom Terrific was not in great form for the first game back after the injury. But then again, he was so hot when he had all that pressure on him in the SB two years ago.

So Revis, with a ton of safety help, managed to shut down a gimpy Randy Moss who was playing with a rusty Tom Brady. Now, Moss is healthy and Brady’s playing great. Things will be different.
It would be tough enough this time without agitating Moss. We all know the guy takes plays off. Well, you can freaking forget *that*.
Moss is gonna kill Revis. The only question about Revis after the game will be which side of the toast to put the butter on.

Revis has played more than one game against Moss and he has always played well. The last time Moss had over 100 yards against the Jets, Andre Dyson was covering him to open the 2007 season. His only touchdown since came on a play that (I believe) Ty Law, a day out of retirement, had the coverage on…
Revis may not be in man to man 100% of the snaps, but he is a top 5 corner in the league…and anyone can beat any corner given 4-5 secs for a qb to make a pass.
The Pats can feel free to target the best player on the Jets defense(team), b/c that may be the only way they lose…to have a stupid game plan like that.
And then we could hear the same “neutral” breakdown about a bad game plan with Brady/Moss tired b/c the Jets suck and they were resting for the Saints…
How about throw it 50+ times to welker and never leave the game in question…

Brady being flustered isn’t exactly an excuse, he was flustered because the Jets were able to knock him on his back consistently. For him to have a better day, his offensive line has to keep him clean, which means holding off a Jets front that roughed them up in September (with Kris Jenkins).
