With Ronnie Brown out for the year, the Miami Dolphins are nevertheless continuing their climb toward .500 in a battle of two 4-5 teams that started the season at 0-3.
Miami leads at the half, 14-3.
The two Dolphins touchdowns came from running back Ricky Williams. Bob Papa of NFL Network pointed out that it’s the first time in Williams’ 11-year career (with some interruptions) that he has both a receiving and a rushing touchdown in the same game.
Speaking of two, linebacker Joey Porter has a couple of sacks in his first game back after being deactivated, apparently for disciplinary reasons.
The Dolphins have gained 169 yards to 118 for the Panthers. Miami drove 81 yards for its first score, and a 22-yard punt return gave the Fins a short 29-yard field for the second touchdown.
porter’s been a monster. he’s also hurried & knocked down delhomme several times too.
GO FINS!
all i wanna know is where is PAT WHITE?!?!
What I want to know is why is the NFL Network coverage so bad? It is like watching a preseason game.
I don’t even get NFL network. I always forget Thursday night games are even being played.
Nice to see Joey Porter having such a good game, isn’t it?
Heh, nobody had Ricky Williams until I picked him up Monday. I’m a genius!
“he’s also hurried & knocked down delhomme several times too.”
Ummm ….. who DOESN’T?
What the heck? With about 1130 left, Williams runs a play, gets knocked down by a Caroline player, he gets back up gets another 2 yards or so, the refs marks him down with the extra 2 yards. What are these refs watching? Overall the refs are getting worse each week. Of course Papa doesnt pick up on it, cause he is as clueless as they come; he should stick with boxing.
Papa and Millen are idiots…and So are the Panthers…way to mortgage your future kitty kats…the Panthers are going to have a terrible year next year…watch

The Atlanta Falcons last Sunday, 11/15/2009, that’s who.
Light one up for Ricky Williams, 46 yards!
Panthers made it interesting but Jake Delhomme is just horrible and the offensive coordinator NEVER goes with the hot hand, preferring to take out Williams and/or Stewart as soon as they start gaining some momentum on the ground. It’s like they don’t want to win by running; they’d rather lose trying to salvage Jake’s career.
Game looked like it was a bad game of Madden. Panthers play calling was horrible, if Fox isn’t gone than they seriously need to think about getting rid of Davidson..I don’t understand why they would get away from the run, the run was gaining momentum and clearly their bread and butter. Getting away from the run allowed Miami to controll the clock which in the end was the shot that killed carolina.
Well played Dolphins, you were the better team clearly.

They are pretty much a young across the board here in Carolina. One of the few positions without a sure fire guy to step in will be QB. I am somewhat confident Matt Moore will get his chance to show the Panthers what he can do if the season continues to go the way it is. I also suspect Delhomme will retire if this season keeps going the way it is now.
There really is not future that was morgtaged, Brown will be an every down player next year. Tank Tyler is only 22-23 years old so hes just now coming to NFL form. Everything they have done isn’t as bad as it would seem. They could pick up 2-3 key free agents and not miss a hitch next year depending on how much Jerry wants to spend
Bob Papa…Bob Papa…Bob Papa…
There. I feel better now…
Where is the post about that ridiculous painting shown behind Brandon Marshall during his halftime interview?
But I think we now know the REAL reason that Marshall was so upset and wanted to leave Denver so badly this offseason. Cutler-Marshall man-love. Not that there’s anything wrong with it.
Come on, Florio. You can set a new comments record with this one…
