Steve Smith involved in car accident, will play Thursday

Panthers wideout Steve Smith is expected to play Thursday night against the Miami Dolphins despite being involved in car accident earlier in the day.

A team official told Darin Gantt of the Rock Hill Herald that it was a “fender bender” and Smith will be fine.

That’s bad news for rookie cornerbacks Sean Smith and Vontae Davis, who will be in charge of covering Smith all night.  The four time Pro Bowler hasn’t put up yardage like previous years, but has scored three times in the last three games.

DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart, both listed as questionable, are also expected to play.

    @pitt
    Per reports from the team spokesman, Steve Smith was the one hit not the other way around. Maybe this article should note that.
