Titans talk trash to Texans

The Tennessee Titans are in last place in the AFC South, and two games behind the Houston Texans.

But that won’t stop the Titans from talking a little trash toward the Texans heading into their game in Houston on Monday night.

The Titans franchise was previously known as the Houston Oilers, and that gives them something of a rivalry with the new team in Houston. Titans tight end Bo Scaife thinks that makes the Texans treat their games like playoff games, and Scaife isn’t pleased that the Texans are celebrating a two-game winning streak over the Titans.

“We owe them and they know we owe them,” Scaife said of the Texans, per Jim Wyatt of The Tennessean. “Every time we play them this is the biggest game of their season, or so they say. We owe them . . . for two losses.”

Titans linebacker Keith Bulluck said he didn’t like the way the Texans acted the last time the teams played, when a brawl broke out on the Texans’ sideline.

“We are talking about a team that has never even sniffed the playoffs before, so I guess when they beat us or other teams in the [division] I guess to them it is like a playoff game,” Bulluck said. “Last game, it was only the second game of the season but I thought it was for the AFC Championship.”

Bulluck
said he’d like to be able to just ignore the Texans.

“We are more like distant cousins that we did have a relationship in the sense that this organization used to be in Houston,” Bulluck said. “But we are like cousins, they are like our fourth or fifth cousin, we don’t really acknowledge them.”

Texans-Titans. Highest scoring game of the weekend. Andre Johnson has a monster game. Houston wins 41-34.

Shut up Bulluck, your team stinks. The day Andre Johnson doesn’t beat the S*** out of you, is the day you can talk

Scoreboard! Texans have a better record. Texans have a better quarterback. Texans have a better defense. The only thing the Titans have is Chris Johnson and he will get his. But, like the last two games, it won’t be enough. High scoring and nasty, it will be an AWESOME MondayNightFootball game. These aren’t your mamma’s Texans, they will kick the sh*t out of you!

We’re enjoying the basement.. but we’re getting ready to put you back in it, in a couple of weeks. Enjoy your 8th straight losing season.. call us when you win 9 games in a year.

“Last game, it was only the second game of the season but I thought it was for the AFC Championship.”
I think that’s explanation for their 0-6 start.
And I don’t think the Titans will sniff playoffs this year, themselves.

you texans were lucky to even win that game if we didn’t blow a freakin 100 pt lead. You guys are getting your asses handed to you monday.

“Last game, it was only the second game of the season but I thought it was for the AFC Championship.”
Kinda like when they beat the Steelers last year?

  12. titanbo11 says: Nov 19, 2009 10:12 PM

sister humpers thats a southern joke right. Dude we’re from Tennessee but your from Texas. Enough said.

  13. titanbo11 says: Nov 19, 2009 10:21 PM

hey Steeler fan there was a lot on the line. It was like game 15 not game 2 and it won the Titans home field advantage which they promptly screwed, but you know the Titans were better.

you houston fans are imbeciles! 1 being 8-8 isnt a winning record. 2 yes andre johnson has had a big game the past 2 games but look at his stats vs us hes only had 3 (could be 4 i havent looked at it since week 2) 100 yard games vs us. 3 your defense isnt better than ours, hide behind the stats we put up this year when we had 3 1st year cbs playing and had to protect them with our coverage over the top. 4 your qb isnt better than ours…as i recall this is his 1st year not being hurt (knock on wood) and everyone was saying they didn’t think he was the answer so having 1 good season doesnt mean shit..ill take a qb who wins forget stats..retards

I kinda hope the Titans win out and make the playoffs. Got nothing else to root for this year.

I root for Brady Quinn to be worse than Jamarcus, and he’s on pace too. Trash can to trash dumpster

“But we are like cousins, they are like our fourth or fifth cousin…”
In Tennessee, that means you can get married!

  18. cougarred says: Nov 20, 2009 7:45 AM

Tennessee fans are just like their players and owner – ridiculous, juvenile and dumb
So glad Houston picked Mario Williams over a very overated Reggie Bush and person who so far proved he isn’t a QB at all, VY.
    Monday night – can’t wait.
Potential playoffs on the line for Houston.
Or another draft pick sliding down for Tennessee.

  19. titanbo11 says: Nov 20, 2009 7:52 AM

In Texas that means you are married.

  20. pftman says: Nov 20, 2009 8:25 AM

Maybe if the Titans treated every game like a playoff game they wouldn’t have started 0-6? Terrible quote from a terrible team.
Anyone that loses 59-0 during a season shouldn’t be allowed to say anything but “we suck” to the media.

  21. FREEFLO21 says: Nov 20, 2009 8:49 AM

I wonder if Bud Adams being the classy guy that he is… will be giving the Texan fans the 2 finger salute on Monday Night…. Looks like Classy in the Titan organization starts from top……Stay classy Bud. Loser

  22. Que says: Nov 20, 2009 10:49 AM

Is VY taking his meds this week?
He’ll need ‘em when he sees Demeco and Cush bearing down full blast on him.

Wow, I thought the PFT posts from DALLAS fans were over the top!

  24. saintez says: Nov 21, 2009 5:07 PM

Once again, I’ll be cracking up laughing at these houston texan dorks when we win and they lose – such big talk bc of a lucky game and oh by the way, ptfman, when Titans win monday; how embarrassed will you be having being beat by a team that got beat 59-0. Dork.

  25. jfw1951 says: Nov 21, 2009 10:58 PM

I will be at the game Monday and can’t wait to see Mr Vince picking himself up off the turf while brushing Mario’s # 90 off his forehead. The Titans should call Packman in for a motivational talk before the game!!!!!

  26. football fan says: Nov 24, 2009 2:49 PM

That was a hell of a game last night. I will say that it looks like the Titans got the last laugh. And Mario was really not a factor in the game. I was a bit surprised by that. Both teams played hard. I will say that I expected the Texans to really bring a beat down on the Titans after seeing all the quotes in the papers from both sides. I don’t think the Titans are going to the playoffs, but I definitely think the Titans ended all hope of the Texans going to the playoffs as well. The Texans need to keep their heads up and keep working. They are a hell of a lot better than they used to be. I just think they are going to be at the bottom of the mediocre teams list for a couple of more years. Thanks for the entertainment on and off the field.
