Hits keep coming for Bills

Firing Dick Jauron isn't going to make Buffalo's injury-ravaged team any healthier.

The Bills have continued to take body blows that will make life difficult against the Jaguars Sunday.  The team placed linebacker Keith Ellison on injured reserve Friday with a quadriceps injury, and declared defensive tackle Marcus Stroud out for this week with a knee problem.

Ellison missed last week's game, but this removes two key run stuffers from what was already the worst rush defense in football.  The team has lost twelve players for the season.  Rookie safety Jairus Byrd, cornerback Terrence McGee, and defensive tackle Kyle Williams are all questionable for the game.

This post is a long way of saying that Maurice Jones-Drew should have a fun Sunday.

This is crazy. Year after year, the Bills are decimated by injury. The next guy who should be fired is their strength and conditioning coach.

Ellison is not a run stopper, he is an undersized pylon that gets stuck in the undercarriage of a runner which eventually slows him down 10-15 yards downfield

This is not a big loss, Ellison stinks and hopefully this means we've seen the last of him in a Bills uniform

I would like to see what Nic Harris can do with a little more playing time though. There is no reason at this point to start Scott at OLB over Harris

Ellison was actually one of the leading, if not THE leading tackler in the NFL before he got hurt.

Drew had 8 carries for 180 yards a few weeks back and they stopped rushing him so Garrard could lose the game.
Him having an easy day doesn't mean they'll maximize him.

Does this mean the world's worst linebacker Kawika can get back on the field now?

Keith Ellison was quite possibly the worst starter in the NFL. He got his butt kicked all over the field every week. Marcus Stroud, on the other hand, is a loss.

Anybody wonder why under Dick Jauron the Bills consistently had season ending injuries? Don't tell me its a coincidence that the entire defense got wiped out year after year. I think it was caused by two things:
    1) defense is out there the whole friggin game
    2) it was Club Med North

Of course all the players loved him. They could play terribly but he never called them out or pushed them. Wish my boss let me suck but still paid me and never blamed me.

PLEASE PUT MAYBIN ON THE FIELD, stop putting so many undersized DBs to play LB.

Buffalo needs to convert to a 3-4 next season.

Schobel, Stroud, Maybin or a high quality free agent DE

Maybin or tough FA DE outside, Poz, solid FA ILB, Nic Harris outside

Byrd, Scott, McGee, Corner or Yobouty

typically it doesnt make any sense whatsoever for a team with undersized DE's and 3 terrible linebackers to convert to a 3-4.
