Norwood could return, Turner doubtful

M.Turner.jpgAtlanta's starting running back is likely out for Sunday's key NFC tilt against the Giants, but they may get an explosive reserve back in the lineup.

Jerious Norwood participated in practice for the second straight day Friday, and is listed as questionable for Sunday's game.  He seems likely to play, but as a reserve behind Jason Snelling.

Michael Turner is listed as doubtful for the game after missing practice all week.

The matchup in the Meadowlands features two 5-4 teams that are both slumping and not playing like playoff teams.  The Giants have lost four straight and the Falcons have lose three of four.

While the Giants are as healthy as they have been all year, Atlanta's defense is still leaky and the expected loss of their leading rusher makes them underdogs.

I wonder if San Diego ever wishes they would have kept Brees and Turner instead of Rivers and LT, and instead drafted Larry Fitzgerald in 2004.. Would've been interesting to see that offense along with Gates..

Yeah for Norwood. Hope he does well. Been pulling for him to get an opportunity.

Turner will be back fresh....so sitting out a game or two will just help him be ready for the playoffs. His sprain isn't too bad if he's not on crutches and says it feels good. I know people that couldn't walk for weeks because of a sprain

Turner and LT were both feature backs. Turner turned free agent and SD couldn't keep both, LT was the starter so he got the nod.

Rivers is comparable to any QB in the league, just a notch behind Manning and Brady, he just needs a ring.
