Steelers safety Troy Polamalu won’t talk about his knee injury, as instructed. He won’t even admit he has one.
“Who says there’s even a real knee injury, first of all?” Polamalu asked Thursday.
Well, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says so. And it will prevent Polamalu from playing this week, according to Ed Bouchette.
Tyrone Carter will get the start at safety against the Chiefs, which is no surprise. Defensive end Travis Kirschke is also expected to miss his third straight game.
It’s unclear how much time Polamalu will miss, but early reports indicate this knee injury isn’t as serious as the sprained MCL that sidelined him for four games earlier this season.

WOW!!! That’s some pretty trippy stuff.

then there is no mountain,
then there is.

So now the Chiefs will only lose by 27?
Stillers 37
Chefs 10
Hope he’s out against the Ravens
everyone knows this is the bengals year, so this story doesn’t matter.
I’d like for Ben to get all his ‘bad games’ out of his system before playoff time. This game against the Chiefs would be a good time to throw a stinker and still be able to overcome and win it. By sound reasoning, this would leave nothing but good games for Ben for the rest of the season!
As long as Troy’s got his head and shoulders…
Glad he’s out. The Chiefs have been close in all but one of their losses. I am picking the Chiefs over the Steelers for the upset of the week.
Regardless of the nature of his latest injury, Polamalu sure seems to be missing a lot of games due to injury. His body seems to be losing the battle against Father Time & injuries.
Wouldn’t Troy’s comment intimate that he isn’t injured? Is he on the injury report? Is that legal? I know every team does it to a degree, but don’t just blatantly state “What injury?”
mamedia…
That might be among the stupidest things I’ve ever seen posted.
Sourdough..
I can’t speak on this latest injury, but when you have a 280lb Bo Scaife fall directly on the side of your knee when your foot is planted, he’s lucky to still have a leg. Yours (and I’m not taking a shot here) would probably have to have been taken off…seriously. He was injury free all of last season and we all know what he did. He was amazing. It’s a shame, but he trains for this in the offseason in a way most NFL players don’t. He’s program is very unique and specialized just for him. He’ll be fine, I may be wrong, but it seems that keeping him out this week is more a precautionary measure than anything. I hope I’m right.
Madden CURSE… strikes again
Will we now have to hear about some stupid “Head-And-Shoulders Shampoo Curse” the way we have to hear about the “Madden Curse” of the “Terrible Towel Curse?”
Maybe if he learned how to play with some form maybe he wouldnt get hurt. I swear he is the least polished player in the history of the NFL. He will jam his neck some day and end his career, he doesnt know how to tackle without knocking someone over
I thought Carlester Crumpler fell on his leg?
Break it down Occam..
People on the cover of Madden do get hurt…
and the Titans stomped on the Towel..lost like 8straight games..so they send a signed Terrible Towel to the Alleghany School (the one Myron sent all proceeds too) .. then the Titans win. HMMMM Makes you wonder huh? MMMMMMM-HAAAAAAAAAAAAA
“People on the cover of Madden do get hurt…”
People not on the cover of Madden do get hurt.
“and the Titans stomped on the Towel..lost like 8straight games”
The Lions didn’t stomp on a towel and lost 16.
Do you also believe in boogey men and the Tooth Fairy? And answer not in a naughty way, it’s almost Christmas and you-know-who is watching.
Steelers 6-0 with him, 0-3 without him.
That said, they don’t need him until the playoffs.
With their remaining schedule they have 11-12 wins in the bag, so why risk it?
“he doesnt know how to tackle without knocking someone over”

Isn’t that kind of the idea of tackling?
“Steelers 6-0 with him, 0-3 without him.”
I’m going to go out on a limb, here and predict that the trend will end this week-end.

Are you intentionally ignorant or do you just not watch football games or pay attention to news reports at all. If you did pay attention, you’d know how Troy got hurt, and it had nothing to do with tackling lol.
And not knowing how to tackle w/o knocking someone over? That HAS to be one of, if not the, stupidest statement I’ve ever heard on here.
Here’s your sign…

I agree about the Madden stuff, and really only joke about the towel curse. BUT, it is odd that the TJ Whosyourmamma wipes his feet with the towel and then loses to Pitt in the playoffs, then the Bengals don’t have another winning season until they trade TJ lol.
And comparing the Lions to the Titans is apples to oranges…the Lions didn’t go 13-3 a season before going on their epic losing streak.

You’re right, at least for the regular season. If the Steelers get a wild card though, the Bengals are done for once again.
As any gambler will tell you: never bet against Pittsburgh in the playoffs. At least not unless you can afford some refs of your own.
Glad he’s out. The Chiefs have been close in all but one of their losses. I am picking the Chiefs over the Steelers for the upset of the week.
What games were close? the 38-24 BAL loss, the 34-14 PHI loss, the 27-16 NYG loss, or the 37-7 SD loss??
@ Vox’s Mommy:
How stupid is my comment looking this morning? You’re a moron.
