Pro Bowl will have intriguing dynamic this year

As some of you noticed when we posted an item on the leading vote getters in the early stages of the Pro Bowl balloting process, some of the guys who are destined to play in Miami in late January won’t be playing in Miami in late January because they’ll be playing in Miami in early February.

This year, because the Pro Bowl will be played before the Super Bowl, players from the team who make it to the Super Bowl won’t be playing in the Pro Bowl.

Still, the Pro Bowl will be much more intriguing this year, simply because it will be played before the season has ended and football fans have moved on to other things, like spending time with their families and, you know, showering.

For this year at least, it’s the kickoff to Super Bowl week, and it will have far more buzz than usual.

So we’ll be packing up the ’68 VW bus a few days early for the drive to South Florida.

I hope it can make it that far.

If you want to join us there, buy a ticket and make your plans now. At the game, I’ll be giving out coupons for free one-year subscriptions to PFT.
