Back come the Lions

OK, so we already stuck a spork in the team that will be playing on Thanksgiving while we’re all feasting on turkey and preparing to sleep through the second half of the early game.

But the Lions still have some life in them.

Down 24-3 in the first quarter to the Browns, the Lions are roaring back.

It’s already 24-17, with more than 10 minutes to play in the second quarter.

Running back Kevin Smith has 100 receiving yards on only three catches.  A 25-yarder (with extra point) cut the deficit to seven, and there’s a long, long way to go.

Hey Florio, Stafford just called to let you know thanks for the vote of confidence. It really gave him a reason to start playing.

Did somebody say Dewey Beats Truman? Nice job calling the game in the first quarter. NFL football doesn’t work that way, my friend.

I guess we know the prescription to cure what ills both the Lions and the Browns offense
Man though… if MangIdiot loses this one after being spotted 21 points, that’s gotta hurt.
Personally I think Randy Lerner put in a half time call asking Mangini why they hell he was working so hard to take the #1 pick away from the next head coach next year.

    Hey, Lions fans.
    Vikings fan here.
I’ve been trying to tell the world how good your football team is, and especially Matthew Stafford. Well, I no longer am needed in that area. I don’t want you guys to actually become dominant, so I’m going to just say, hey, that was an awesome game by Stafford and the Lions, and leave it at that.
The Lions are on their way. Respectfully to you, good luck to the Lions on Thanksgiving and for the rest of the season.

    leatherneck,
We still have a long way to go but with another draft like we had last year and some more decent FA moves we could become a pretty decent young team. Anyways thanks for the compliment it’s not often us Lions fans hear anybody giving us any credit or even saying anything positive at all about us. Usually it’s a bunch of morons saying the same thing over and over bashing the Lions because I guess it makes them feel better about their pathetic lives to beat a dead team into the ground. Like us as fans don’t know we’ve been horrible forever or that we went 0-16. I’m sure dumb asses on here will rip on you for saying something positive about the Lions but it’s honorable to give a team credit when it’s due. So thanks. Even though I don’t like the Vikings LOL. It’s just a divisional thing ya know?
So bring it on haters let’s hear your pathetic ramblings about how horrible the Lions are but Stafford just put up the best rookie performance in NFL HISTORY. Suck on that bitches.
