Big Ben gets banged up

On the first drive of overtime against the Chiefs, Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger took a knee to the head while running with the ball after the pocket broke down.

Roethlisberger walked off the field under his own power, after lingering on the field for several minutes.

He was replaced by veteran Charlie Batch, who delivered on the first play a bullet to Santonio Holmes, converting a second down and 14.

Roethlisberger didn't return after the perfunctory one-play absence.

Ben will be fine. He's flown head-first into the windshield of a moving car and didn't even mess up his face (although it was pretty messed up to begin with)!

Wow, losing to the Chiefs? Good teams can't do that. No Lombardi for the Steelers this year. Colts-Patriots in the AFC Championship.

Wonder what all of the idiot Steelers fans will say now.

Even after my Bengals swept them last week, many of those towel-waving morons continued to talk trash about how they would still beat us in the playoffs. BLAH BLAH BLAH

Have a nice dose of reality, Shitsburg fans.

Hear that ladies! When he asks you to fix his "TV" just knee him to the head. Either one, your choice.

The Steelers played so pathetically today, I am seriously considering wearing a paper bag on my head tomorrow.

If you are going to hurt Ben, the last place to hit him is in the head.

Actually, the vast majority of Steelers fans were pretty complimentary, and even a lot of Bengals fans said so.

You do realize you're acting exactly like one of the very same idiots you're speaking out against, right?

All steelers fans should wear paper bags, considering how ugly you are.

the steelers fans have been pretty nice about the chiefs game today, so hats off to them for being cool.

Your guys definitely wanted it more and outplayed ours today so most of us should give credit to where it is deserved. There is always a few bad apples in every fan base though. But regardless, good luck in the rest of your season.

I wouldn't equate silence with "nice". They only come out when they win (and then they talk shit for the next 3 days).

I do not think we are being quite, Congrats to the Cheifs they played a good game and I am not a sore loser.

But with that being said we will see who the sore losers are, Bengals fans have been trashing us all week and most Steeler fans were humble, but guess what the Bengals lost so we will see if they are as humble.

So I guess if the Steelers are a bad team that makes your Vikings pretty bad as well. The year Big Ben won his first SB they lost to the Jaguars and the Cardinals. The Giants lost to the Browns last year. The Cardinals lost to a lot of teams lol Good teams, even great teams lose get upset from time to time.
