The Baltimore Ravens’ cornerbacks have struggled this season at stopping opposing wide receivers. The Indianapolis Colts think they can take advantage of that today.
Sal Paolantonio of ESPN reported this morning that he talked to a Colts source who said the Colts will spread their offense out with three-receiver sets featuring Reggie Wayne, Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon all on the field together.
Dallas Clark, of course, is listed as a tight end — but he’s really more of a wide receiver, and with Clark on the field along with Wayne, Collie and Garcon, the already thin Ravens secondary will be stretched to its limits. Ed Reed can’t be everywhere.
There is some good news for the Ravens’ defense heading into the game against the Colts, as Paolantonio reports that the Ravens expect to have defensive tackle Haloti Ngata, who is listed as questionable with an ankle injury, back on the field.
Interesting to see how Peyton does if Ravens can pressure him with Ngata back. He has hardly been touched all season.
“This just in…The Colts will throw the ball this week to their WRs and TE.”
Where do I get me a job like that?
That is what they have done every time they have played us. That is not newsworthy.
Really, the Colts plan to spread the field…..didn’t see that coming……
I thought they were gonna run the wishbone today.
Throw to Reggie all day long. Ravens will not be able to cover him and everybody else at the same time. Should be another big day. Suggs is out so Peyton will have plenty of time.
When was the last year the Ravens actually beat the Colts?
