As the Cowboys and the Redskins renew their rivalry for the 99th time (actually, they're renewing it for the 98th time, since the first meeting wasn't really a "renewal" of anything), there's all sorts of crazy crap happening at the North Texas Football Cathedral.
For starters, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo and Redskins cornerback DeAngelo Hall injured each other as Romo tackled Hall, who was returning a Marion Barber fumble. Hall has a knee contusion. Romo returned on the next drive.
Also, Redskins running back Ladell Betts has a knee injury, and he's expected not to return.
But the real highlight came when cornerback Terence Newman and Cowboys secondary coach Dave Campo got in each other's faces (actually, it was more like Campo's face in Newman's sternum) as Newman was coming off the field. There was some mutual pushing and shoving between Newman and Campo, who served as head coach of the Cowboys to cap the pre-Parcells period.
The game is currently scoreless.

I just cannot get enough of Dave Campo . Keep it comin.' This is the only place I can ever find any. Weird, huh ?
I can't stand either team and could care less who wins.......But that debacle before halftime when the refs couldn't figure out what the hell to do was a disgrace and an embarrassment to the NFL...It was like a 10 minute delay, do they refs know the rules?.....It made it look like a pick up game....
For once I'll have to agree with EskinSux, the refs are looking like they're making it up as they go along lately.
Hey jackass, try writing correctly the first time, so we don't have to keep reading your stupid "actually" comments.
Second week in a row watching a Dallas game I have seen the refs engage in abject incompetence.
In the game at Green Bay last week, Romo fumbled after being hit from behind and RB Felix Jones recovered the fumble. While he was sitting on the ground, Packer defenders standing over him, one reached in and with a full body pull managed to rip the ball out Jones' arms.
The refs awarded the ball to the Packers practically on the Dallas goal line. Wade Phillips challenged, then was told he COULDN'T challenge possession on a fumble, and that besides Jones didn't possess the ball 'long enough'.
That embarassing display was then added to when GB Coach Mike McCarthy tried for a third challenge of the half. The refs ACTUALLY STARTED TO REVIEW THE PLAY BEFORE REALIZING GB HAD NO CHALLENGES LEFT.
Then, if you can believe this, they DIDN'T PENALIZE GB THE 15 YARDS FOR CHALLENGING WITHOUT HAVING A CHALLENGE AVAILABLE LIKE THE RULE BOOK CALLS FOR.
Most of the fans watching the game, the announcers, all knew the Packers had no challenges left and this was a penalty. Apparently the only people who didn't know this were the guys wearing the black and white shirts on the field.
And then we have the clusterfark from today.
Goodell had better address this. I can hardly see how Perairai or whatever his name is handles this on the NFL Network.
