Still plenty of season left but based on what you have seen thus far, how would you pick between Vikes and Saints matchup? Favre is matching Brees, Vikes WR’s/TE is superior, Vikes run game is better and Vikes defense is better as Saints d is predicated on having a huge lead, something they wouldn’t have against the Vikes whereas Vikes d is just plain solid.

The Browns called timeout. Stafford was on the bench and Culpepper was in the game but the timeout allowed him to come back.

@MrHumble: You are overrating the Vikings, although I think they’d be an even match for the Saints at this point. I don’t agree the Vikes receivers are better, and the Saints have better depth at the position. I don’t think Shianco (sp?) is demonstrably better than Shockey. Adrian may be a better RB than any Saints RB, but the overall run game is not.

In the long run I think the fact that Desean Jackson hasnt really done anything in the last 3 weeks is a good thing. When he gets on a roll he starts to show boat way to much and thats his down fall. For example that big Punt return he did great, but on the very next play he catches a passes and holds the ball a foot away from his body, like no one can touch him, and what do you know he gets stripped. Until he grows up he might be better off just having average games to keep his ego entact.

Let’s be honest, the Steelers get a pass because you’re a homer who can’t bear to say that you are also a hypocrite. The Steelers played down to the Chiefs just as incredulously as the Bengals played down to the Raiders. Luckily, there’s still 6 more games to settle all of this, but it’s absolutely no different in either scenario. The only team that didn’t play down to their opponents were the Browns (who sucked almost as much as Detroit) and Baltimore (who played up to Indy). Ask them how much their “moral victories” counted in the win loss columns.

What are the rules regarding throwing a challenge flag and then changing your mind? It happened in the first half of the Ravens/Colts game.
And then Harbaugh managed to waste his final timeout when he lost the challenge after calling a time out. But only after being told he couldn’t challenge until after the measurement.
And could the Ravens have challenged the fact that their tackle committed a false start penalty on the interception?
