Turner and Norwood officially out for Falcons

The Falcons released their official list of inactive players and, as expected, both Michael Turner and Jerious Norwood are on it.

That leaves Jason Snelling as the starting tailback for Atlanta in the Meadowlands on Sunday. Aaron Stecker, re-signed this week, may see some action and the team has Verron Haynes and Ovie Mughelli in the lineup as well.

The Falcons will also be without Brian Finneran. The wideout was declared out with a knee injury on Friday, but, as previously noted, Roddy White will be in the lineup to provide Matt Ryan with a target.

Helping to cover White will be Aaron Ross. The Giants defensive back is active for the first time all season on Sunday after battling several setbacks in his attempt to return from a hamstring injury. There’s been some talk this week about Ross playing safety in an attempt to help the Giants deal with the absence of Kenny Phillips.

Kevin Dockery takes his place on the inactive list, where he’s joined by wide receivers Ramses Barden and Sinorice Moss. Also out is middle linebacker Antonio Pierce. Chase Blackburn will start in his place.
