So when one of the best teams in the league plays one of the worst, anything can happen.
In theory, it's true. And the anything that's happening in Minnesota is that the 8-1 Vikings are dismantling the Seattle Seahawks.
Minnesota leads 21-0 in the first half.
Quarterback Brett Favre has completed 14 of 16 passes for 128 yards and three touchdowns: one to Percy Harvin, one to Vistanthe Shiancoe, and one to Bernard Berrian.
So maybe this one is over. Just like it was over in Detroit when Cleveland took a 21-point lead.
That game is now tied.
We've got a feeling that lightning won't be striking twice in the Upper Midwest on the same day.
Vikes sitting on the Seahawks

T Jack, get your helmet ready. The Vikings look unbeatable. Saints in a dogfight with the Buccs?? LOL Can you say over rated. Seahawks -6 yards rushing first half. The beer is tasting sweet today.
Holy crap......a Viking story and the game is not over yet.....
Anyone for ice fishing in hell?
Bet Chillyball will be put on the shelf with his new contract. Kick some Ass
Chilly!
Farv is the sh1t!!!!!!
And I'm a Bears fan.
Where are all you pencilneck media people who for 3 years have been insisting that he needs to hang it up because he's washed up? Yeah, because you cheesedicks know what's best for Bert Farv than Bert himself.
That's why players play, coaches coach, and writers write.
Writers, and hacks in all media in general, need to change their approach to one that's more about reporting FACTS and investigating/presenting stories, rather than the current format where it seems that all shows and columns are just some fat middle aged lame giving his OPINION and his predictions, which he's usually not more qualified to give than you or me are. Opinions and predictions are usually not worth much:
"This Brett Favre signing is going to prove disastrous for the Vikings."
"What are the Texans thinking? How in the world can you pass up Reggie Bush and Vince Young and take this Mario Williams guy?"
"The Redskins will make the Super Bowl in 2009-2010."
And another TD for Favre...Why did I start Manning?
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
WE'RE COMIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Florio, I think you forgot an H in the headline there. Come on, don't you wanna be a real talking head like Dan Marino?
JuicyMelon you should have snagged Stafford this week off the FA list. 300+ yards and 4 TDs so far.
Thank you GB Fudgepackers for telling Favre he could compete for the starting job with "Karen" Rodgers.
Ok,so the Saints turned it on. Favre is a freakin stud, old my ass.
"Thank you GB Fudgepackers for telling Favre he could compete for the starting job with "Karen" Rodgers. "
Ha. It's not like the Packers are missing Favre at all. Rodgers is having just as good as year as Favre.
"The Vikings look unbeatable. Saints in a dogfight with the Buccs?? LOL Can you say over rated. "
Last time I checked, the Vikings were in a dogfight w/ Detroit earlier this season. Enough to be losing at halftime. So you have no right to call the Saints overrated for being in dog fights when the Vikings were in plenty of them.
can't wait for winfield to be back, defense is playing very well without him, think how much better it's gonna be when he gets back.
Awesome post V.I.C and totally true.
After watching Tavarlious run the O like a Chineese fire drill for the last few years it has been amazing and awesome to watch a real QB take charge this year.
I don't think the Packers were really wrong to let Rodgers take over though. Rodgers is young and nobody thought that Farve would still be playing lights out at 40.
Twiz, I'm a Vikes fan, but your comment was just stupid...............

Dude, this is America. I have the right to say what ever the hell I want. PS - Thankyou for Favre! Booting the best qb in the league makes GB look plain retarded. Not the best? LOL Check the rating douche! That's qb rating.
That's odd, all the "experts" were predicting that Favre would be coming apart at this point of the season. Instead, he's getting better and better.
If not for the mystery penalty at the end of the Pittsburgh game, the Vikings are undefeated.

Um, exactly which game are you talking about here? It's not how the game starts but how the game finishes, and in both games against Detroit this year, the Vikings finished strong and well ahead of them.
I know you Packer backers are zealous fans, but come on, at least have some credibility and logic to the things you say, sheesh...
I've been a Viking fan/follower since Van Brocklin coached the team. I really didn't like the idea of him coming to Minnesota and withheld judgment on him-- until now.
He has impressed me with everything he's done on and off the field since he joined the team. He's said and done all the right things. The man is a pro, there's no denying it. Only 3 INTs in 10 games? Remarkable and it says a great deal about him and the team. Jackson took over at the end of the third quarter, played the rest of the game, and did well.
You can yap about their schedule, but the truth is, the League sets the schedule and you play the teams you are assigned to play. There's no Freebies. The rest of the season should be fun.
Yeah we are in a real "dogfight " with the Lions but somehow managed to win by a comfortable margin. Just like we have the last 14 out of 15 times we have played them.
Who else can beat the Vikings:
Chicago - who knows, but doubt it, if they win tonight they still have an outside shot at the playoffs.
at Arizona - possible if Warner is ok
Cincinnati - they have a shot - but they just lost to.....the Raiders
Carolina - no chance
at Chicago - possible if Chicago is still alive for playoffs, if not this is an easy win
Giants - possible - Giants may need the win for a playoff spot.
Realistically you are looking at maybe 1 more loss assuming no major injuries. Not bad. A 15-1 record probably gets you #1 seed, a 14-2 record maybe not.
JimmySmith in 3,2,1.......
