Belichick: There's no better team than the Saints

The New England Patriots have already played one of the NFL's unbeaten teams, losing last week's nail-biter to the Indianapolis Colts. Now, as they prepare to play the league's other unbeaten team, the New Orleans Saints, Patriots coach Bill Belichick says he's expecting his team's toughest game of the season.

"I don't think there's any better team in football than the New Orleans Saints," Belichick said, per Adam Kilgore of the Boston Globe.

Belichick doesn't want to give the Colts any bulletin-board material if they play again in the playoffs, but he said he thinks the Saints may be a more complete team.

"New Orleans I'd say is a little more balanced," Belichick said. "They're both pretty good. But New Orleans is real good on defense and they're real good in the kicking game. They have no weaknesses that I can see. They're averaging, whatever it is, 40 points a game. They look pretty good to me."

The Saints actually average 36.9 points a game, and it would be hard to argue that their defense and special teams are significantly better than the Colts', but whatever: Belichick thinks there's no better team than the Saints, and he might be right.

Then again, if New England meets Indianapolis again in the playoffs, you can bet Belichick will be saying there's no better team than the Colts.

    10 Things I think I know:

    1. I Realize that it takes no wit to make fun of a 420 lb. man that cries to his
team, but when said fat-man has a yap like a Chihuahua, how can you help yourself?
The Jets special-teams include a defibrillator drill at practice. 10 guys try to flip
over a greased hippopotamus carcass, while Izzo is expected to smack the hippo in the
chest with hot paddles as soon as a chest is recognized. The drill is expected to pay
big dividends within the next three weeks.

    2. If the Pats didn't have Brady at QB, my pick to replace him would be Matthew
Stafford. Not only is he a stud, but I think it's awesome to have an Angus Young
lookalike on the sidelines. Ride On, Matthew!

    3. I think that it must be totally frustrating to be a Raiders fan. I can't stand the
Raiders as much as the next guy, but they might be enjoying as much as a sub-par year
if they hadn't gone with JaMarcus for so long. He is the WORST impersonator of a QB
that I have ever seen. Gradkowski is no Manning, but he tries his guts out. Imagine
having a QB with talent and drive?

    4. Talk about a concussion specialist...
Who is the highly trained doctor that recognized concussion symptoms in Clinton Portis?
How in the hell do you tell? Even Ebonic specialists break huddle saying, "What the
hell is he saying?". I haven't heard every NFL player speak, but I must say, I can't
imagine anyone sounding as stupid as Portis. Put him in coach, what could possibly go
    wrong?

    5. Mangina. I may be slightly biased, but man, do I hate Mangina. It warmed my heart
yesterday to see him all hopeful for all 60 minutes, and then get his over-worked heart
ripped out in such brutal fashion. As if the season wasn't crushing enough already,
to have a win taken from you like that must be excruciating. Perfect.
On the other hand, he actually looked mean while walking off of the field after the game.
Instead of looking like his fat puffball self, he really looked like there may be some
gamma-radiation thing going on. You won't like Hulkgina when he is angry.

    6. Jay Cutler may have abundant talent, but he carries himself like a whipped dog. He
always slinks onto the field like all is lost already. Maybe his teammates know that he
just walks like that, but man, it seems like he may make a better leader if he held
his head high, and walked a little faster or something.

    7. Man, is Ben getting bigger? In a Russell way, not a Schwarzenegger way. While they were
checking him for a concussion on the sideline, it really, honestly looked like Elmer Fudd's
head Photoshopped onto Jamarcus's body. What were they doing in OT against the Chiefs
    anyway?

    8. I hope that the Bills overtake the Jets in the standings. I know that it is wishful
thinking, but it would be priceless.

    9. I wish Peter King would just drink his coffee black.

    10. I only know 9 things.

The guy can't win. The Saints are very balanced on offense, defense and special teams. Where did he go wrong? They are the best team in the league as of today.

And do you think he gives a shit if he gives the
    Colts "bulletin board" material? Please.

Those of us in Viking land are more than content for everyone else to think the Saints are the best team in the league. We'll find out in January, but I expect the excuses to be on the queue, ready to go.

This could be one year when the real SuperBowl will be played two weeks earlier than the showcase version. The balance of power has finally shifted back to the NFC.

Same stale rhetoric from JimmySmith. If you can't get with the times and post something relevant regarding New England, then perhaps you should just STFU and wait 'til a Favre story is posted so you can rehash your lame Col. Klink routine.

  17. BernardPollardIsAnAss says: November 23, 2009 3:45 PM

This is another example of why Belichick can't win. He has every idiot "journalist" trying to twist his words of praise and respect into a back-handed slap at some other team or coach. For Christ sake, he has a lot of respect for the Saints and the Colts. Only an idiot could think otherwise. The Saints are more balanced. Brees is good but he is certainly no Peyton Manning. All everyone has been able to do (including PFT) if heap praise upon Manning for carrying the team on his shoulders this season. Now you want to take what Belichick said about better balance as an insult to the Colts? Seriously? You have made that exact point repeatedly, that Manning is carrying the team with possibly his best season ever. Pretty sure PFT has not said the same of Brees. Seems to be a little more balanced to me. Then again, I am most likely a lot smarter than you.

Uh, he didn't say the Colts were the best team because they aren't.

And he won't. Because they aren't. Do they have the best QB. Absolutely.

If the Pats see them in January, it'll end for the Colts then.

  22. Commish says: November 23, 2009 4:32 PM

I like seeing fellow Patriots fans stick up for coach

(especially since the Jets tampered with Crabtree, Redskins tampered with Haynesworth, Broncos fudged cap numbers for their two superbowls, but the patriots are cheaters and their whole following is "classless" because they video taped from the non-designated area even though taping is allowed give me a break)

But to my real point, the media can twist words any way they like, but the bottom line is the Belichick does not care what anyone thinks anyways.

For KevinFaulk-an-a: Hilarious post. You have talent.

For the Vikings fans who think they even rate up there with the Saints or NFC East: GET REAL. Gimme a break ... Vikings are 8-1, with only 2 opponents with a record better than 5-5, and they lose to one of them (Pitt) and barely eke by the one who has only a 5-5 record (Balt).

Face it, you chumps, being first place in NFC North with the opponents you play is like being in 3d or 4th place in the NFC East.

  25. arvida2 says: November 23, 2009 4:58 PM

"Bulletin-board material" is the biggest crock of s**t in football. Does anyone really think a team plays better because someone says something. So if I am player getting ready for the Super Bowl, the biggest game of my life, I think I am going to be motivated. But wait a minute, someone says something derogatory, so NOW I really am motivated? If it takes someone saying something to motivate a player/team, they will not last long in this sport.

For those Vikings Fans who've been posting that they're going to the Super Bowl or are better than the Saints: GET REAL. Vikings's schedule makes a cream puff look and feel like cement. Vikings' 8-1 record with that slouch schedule would earn them only 3d or 4th place in the NFC East. Nothing to see here in this story. Belichick always says TERRIFIC stuff about this week's opponent. Even when thet played the Raiders last year.

Belichick just may be right, and the Saints may be the best team THIS YEAR in the NFL, but lets go back to the Colts under Unitas and the Colts under Manning and talk about lots of records, ten times more wins than the Saints, and in the future will still be piling up statistics that the Saints are only piling up this one year.
If the Saints are the Super Bowl champs I wont shed a tear, I will still love the French Quarter, the Superdome, and Lake Ponchartrain and the great foods there. Owner Benson is long due some return on his investment. But as for this guy Belichick, I only think he is waving an advance flag in saying His guys wont be in the Super Bowl this year, even with Brady back in the lineup. He may even get another chance to go fourth down and 2 in Lucas Oil Stadium, then will see if he has wised up about the Colts. They stopped his team and it wont be 35-34 next time.

This statement by Bill Belichick is pure nonesense, made only to try to swell the heads of his next opponents next week. If the Saints are as good as he says they are, I suggest he just forfeit the game and not risk losing Tom Brady to that great, great defense that's going to chew up the Pats. Belichick, get real. I believe you were looking at the Player Stats on NFL.com. If you look at the complete list and sort by QB Rating, Brett Favre is sitting on top with 112.1....the closest is Drew Brees at 105.8. This is what PervyHarvin meant by #1 QB. Also, I commend you for supporting your home team, as any loyal fan should. I'd rather see a fan of the home team than a bandwagon fan of a far away team.

I would not be so proud about beating the Giants and Eagles....both teams with the issues they are having.

    ---------------------

From a level-headed perspective, its hard to say which team is better between the Vikes, Colts, and Saints. Combined they are 29-1, all of them have had blow outs and all have had close games. You can't say who's better than the other because none of them have played each other. We won't find out until the Playoffs.

  46. caliboy28 says: November 23, 2009 8:13 PM

Well, according to Jeff Sagarins computer ratings (THE most reliable in my book), the Colt's are ranked #1 and are 3-0 against other teams ranked in the top 10 (best in the league). Other teams records against the Top 10: Saints, 1-0; Patriots, 1-1; Vikings, 1-0.
Also, Saint's strength of schedule is ranked 31st and the Vikings 32nd. The Colts? ... 19th. Me thinks the Vikes and the Saints have a ways to go before claiming the title of "best".

  47. caliboy28 says: November 23, 2009 8:32 PM

Another thing.... when are people going to start giving credit where it's due? Colt's eek out a win against one of the better teams in football and everyone say's the Colt's didn't win, the Patriots lost. Well, the Colt's put themselves in the POSITION to be able to win it. Good teams do that - they put themselves into position to win games. There isn't a team in this league that has won every game in blowout fashion. And remember, there are only two that haven't lost AT ALL... and the Colt's are one of them.

  48. Poydras says: November 23, 2009 10:35 PM

Pervy, you win homer of the year for your blind (baseless) arguments about your vikes, and, really, the "stats" you rattle off are damn impressive. Let's check them out:
    "Viking D is #12 Saints is # 17"
Is that in yards? points per game? the stat that makes your D look better than the Saints'? How many TD's has your defense scored? Darren Sharper says hello. Good stat.

    "Saints have 29 turnovers Vikings 16 "
Not sure why you mentioned this, the Saints have forced 29 to your 16, +1 Saints. Again, good stat.

"Favre is got a higher qb rating than Brees."
(Both have ratings over 105, is it really worth comparing that? Besides, Brees is younger, healthier) Should I say, good stat?

"AD is better than any back they got."
True statement, (I'll forgive the typo) but you still rank 5 spots behind us in rushing yards per game (5 vs. 10), so maybe it's better to have THREE quality backs rather than ONE that's "better than any back they got" - Good Stat.

    "Our D line crushes theirs"
In arm wrestling?? MMA? Monster truck rally? Or do you mean your lineman crush the pills that both of our lineman took this offseason? I think we're pretty even there. But, hey, your judge let guys off the hook quicker than a Louisiana judge. That's impressive. Good stat.

"Our O line is bigger and better. "
Again, profound. Are you actually 5 yrs old? It's ok, you can admit it; we won't take your lunch money.

"Our Spec teams is better(Harvin and Longwell)"
Last time I checked more than 1 person plays special teams, and the Saints have Reggie Bush on theirs, so this point is moot; but...good stat.

"Sidney Rice is #3 receiver in NFL,Colston 18"
Pervy, you are so stubborn, how about some stats? 3 vs. 18, in what? yards, receptions, one night stands? Good stat.

    "Saints score 36.9 a game, Vikings 30.6"
We - on average - out score you by a touchdown/game.
So, finally, I'll say, good stat.

  50. Stinemonster says: November 23, 2009 11:09 PM

The Colts have the best chance to making 16-0 and breaking more records. Manning has an easy schedule the rest of the way to the playoffs and is in route to breaking the all time passing yards gained. All he needs to average is about 319 per game. He's averaging about 317. I see him having at least one maybe two more 400 yard games with his easy schedule.

The Saints schedule shows 3 possible teams that can upset them and slow Brees down.

    Pats
    Falcons
Cowboys (if they show up to play)

The Falcons and Cowboys are better than anyone on the rest of the Colts schedule.

Would be great to see 2 undefeated teams in the big game. Then maybe we could get a good Super Bowl and not some lopsided blowout.

  51. Vikes - This is the Year! says: November 23, 2009 11:48 PM

    Poydras -

    "Vikings D is 12, Saints are 17"
    http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?tabSeq=2&statisticCategory=GAME_STATS&conference=ALL&role=OPP&season=2009&seasonType=REG
This was measured via Yards allowed per game, which is how the NFL measures a Defense's rank. When an announcer says the Saints are ranked 17th overall in D, this is the stat they are looking at. (POINT VIKINGS)

    "Saints have 29 turnovers Vikings 16 "
This is true. Saints rule at interceptions per game, Vikes rule at Fumbles recovered per game. Saints have Vikes beat there. (POINT SAINTS)

"Favre is got a higher qb rating than Brees."
Who said anything about Favre not being healthy? Who said you needed to be young to be better? Favre has NEVER played better in his 19 years of professional NFL football. He has 21 touchdowns and 3 interceptions. Peyton has 21 and 9 interceptions, Brees has 22 and 9 interceptions.....yet you argue Brees is younger and healthier so he must be better...LOL! You are right that both are among the best in the NFL, I'll give you that. (POINT VIKINGS)

"AD is better than any back they got."
You have three solid backs, we have one phenominal back, and our backup back would be a starter on any other team in the NFL. Better put, the Vikes and Saints have extremely good depth at running back PERIOD. (EVEN)

    "Our D line crushes theirs"
This is not realistic to compare. I'll give Pervy the fact that Vikes D line has more Sacks than the Saints, and are better at stopping the Run. Throw in Jared Allen as one of the highest paid players in the NFL (and well worth every penny), I can see how Pervy drew this conclusion, but it is unfare to compare this. (EVEN)

"Our O line is bigger and better. "
Again, cannot be compared. Once again we have another player who is practically tied with Jared Allen for highest paid (and well worth it as well). Also throw in the rookie Phil Loadholt who weighs in at around 370lbs...I can see how he drew this conclusion, but yet again....unfare to compare this. (EVEN)

"Our Spec teams is better(Harvin and Longwell)"
Look at the stats between our kickers: Longwell (MN) has made 93.8% of his kicks, with a long of 52. Carney (NO) has made 80.0% of his kicks, with a long of 46. Longwell wins hands down. For kick returns, Harvin (MN) has 2 TDs, long of 101 yds, and average of 29.8 per return. Roby (NO) has 1 TD, long of 97, and average of 28.8. Harvin is obviously better looking at those stats, but they are pretty darn close so you can necessarily say one is better. (SMALL POINT VIKINGS)

"Sidney Rice is #3 receiver in NFL,Colston 18"
Yards, look on NFL.com. Rice is ranked 3rd, Colston is ranked 18th in yards. Granted, you can rank by other categories and this changes the ranking. But according to this exact stat, Vikes have the edge (POINT VIKINGS)

    "Saints score 36.9 a game, Vikings 30.6"
You have us here. Saints score 2 field goals more than the Vikes per game, but the Saints/Vikes are 1st/2nd in this category. (POINT SAINTS)

According to those stats, Vikes lead....but that doesn't mean they are better. Obviously we will not know which team is better untill they meet in the NFC Championship game. If they do meet, Vikes will win....no way they are going to repeat 1998 season of missing the Superbowl, the numbers are in their favor. But that's just an opinion!! See you in the playoffs...may the best team win, regardless of their regular season stats.

    ----------
    Caliboy28

Look at how many games have been decided by a field goal or less when it comes to the Colts. Regardless of schedule difficulty (which is a moot point, because those stats go off of last season, and the dynamics constantly change during the season). I'll say the Saints or the Vikes are better than the Colts. Whichever team goes to the Superbowl (Vikes/Saints, they will take down the Colts for sure). This season it is the NFC's game to lose. Finally the NFC can take some limelight.

I'm not a fan of the Vikings or the Saints, but I can tell you right now that ALL of your stats are meaningless. Why? Because they didn't play against the same teams.

What would the Saints stats be if they had played the Lions twice?

What would the Vikings stats be if they played the Giants, Falcons, Eagles?

I have no idea why you guys are arguing like this when it's obvious than NONE of you can be right about which team is better until they play. And since they don't play until the playoffs that makes it IMPOSSIBLE for you to right.

Why is that? You say if one of them wins in the playoffs and you picked them now you'd be right? Well, you'd still be wrong because these two teams will not be the same by that time. Other than the obvious aspect of injuries (which effect teams greatly) there are other things to consider like momentum, home-field advantage, etc.

So you're all wrong. Are you happy?

  54. darshiva420 says: November 24, 2009 10:06 AM

Let get to some real stats fo some of you idiots

    Rice is ranked number #3
we throw to 7 to 9 recivrs a game we'll never have a rec in the top #3 but if you add all our yards together where our off is #1 (period)

    Lets talk about D
    Dfensive TDs #1
    turnoves #1
    pass deflections #1
    incomplitions #1
    3rd downs #1
opposing QB rating #1 only one qb madeit over 50
Turn overs in red zone #1
    rd zone #3
    yards after catch #5

We had it harder hn ay team in thebegging everone wants to talk aout our schedual now but no then wehad te 4th hardest schdul at the begging of the year

    Vikings 18th (no comparision)
we played 3 undefeated teams 3teams in a row comeing off their bye

Weve beat 8 teams bye double digits come back from 21 point deficit in one half 2 secs in their house

Not one game has been giveng to us (patriots)not one time have we had to just throw one up an pray fo the win(vikings)Twice.

We can give up 13 takeaways and still beat all four teams(only one team ever done it the geatest showon turf)

3-4 teams to go 10-0 went to the super bowl.
we faced the five bes run teams and backs in the NFL in a row (miami, carolina, alt, rams)and they gave us a little trouble
so please before you start spouting off useless stats why don't you spout off the ones that maters

who cares if Farve completes Two more passes on average a game cause we get to the redzone more and since we have so many rushing tds he don' have to throw every TD for us or his QB rating would be even higer

and I grantee you if the Vikes had the NFC esat and AFC east ( the two tuffest divs in the NFL so if we play them and they play the easyiest NFC west AFC west and their div NFC north comepared to the NFC south hands down we palyed harder faster stronger teams so I'm right everyone else but ones agreeing with me are wrong

Bellichek is awesome. He's like Bobby Knight, Parcells, Bill Walsh, Pat Riley, and Phil Jackson rolled into one with the mind games. He has his ex kicker playing for the Colts so he takes a shot at Vinateiri. Then takes a shot at the defense that stopped them on 4th and 2. Notice he won't take a shot at Manning, or even compare him to Brees with preperation, he won't even go there because he has too much respect for Manning and I think personally besides Brady, if Bellichek could pick a quarterback to coach it would be Manning without a doubt, Manning is his favorite quarterback not wearing a Patriots uniform. If you follow the Colts and Pats rivalry you can pick apart what he's saying here. Basically he's saying the Saints appear to be more complete because in preperation you have more then the offense to prepare for and they have more then two weapons to defend on offense. Brees, Bush, Colston, Shockey, Thomas, and they have depth at receiver. Defensively Sharper is their biggest worry, I don't believe they will have too much trouble moving the ball. When playing the Colts, Bellichek basically prepares all week for his defense to defend against Manning and Clark, he believes Wayne, Garcon, Collie and Addai can get there yards and catches but the big plays go through Clark and Wayne. He chooses to completley shut down Clark and take his chances with Wayne.

Here's the REAL reason Belicheat publicly states that hes believes the Saint's to be the best team:

He's already LOST to the BEST team... the COLT'S! Of course, he's going to say the Saint's are the best team - he hasn't lost to them yet! That way, if the Pat's DO happen to win, he can say to everyone, "See? See what we did? We just beat the BEST team! I guess that make's US the best team now, right?". Whatever Bill, you are a twat!

    Your post goes like this:

"Mcbomb your an idot wo cares if we play the same teams it goes by how tuff those teams are
and I grantee you if the Vikes had the NFC esat and AFC east ( the two tuffest divs in the NFL so if we play them and they play the easyiest NFC west AFC west and their div NFC north comepared to the NFC south hands down we palyed harder faster stronger teams so I'm right everyone else but ones agreeing with me are wrong"

Allow me to correct it for you so people can understand:

"McBomb, *you're* an *idiot* *who* cares if we play the same teams*.* It goes by how *tough* those teams are and I *guarantee* you if the Vikes had the NFC East and AFC East *(the two *toughest* *divisions* in the NFL)*..."

(Note: At this point, everything is just a mess and can hardly be put into proper sentences, so I'll go ahead and skip to the next part that would almost make sense if written by an intelligent person.)

"Hands down we *played* harder*,* faster*, * stronger teams so I'm right *and* everyone else but *the* ones agreeing with me are wrong."

    ****

Yeah, so that part in the middle you wrote was just a mess. I didn't really know how to translate it so people could understand. But it's obvious by looking at your post and my post that I am the idiot. All sane, logical people would draw that conclusion. I also like how you went off on me despite me saying neither team was actually better than the other. Going by your logic (which is obviously flawless) the Vikings must be worse than the Kansas City Chiefs, I suspect. You see, the Vikings lost to the Steelers. Therefore, the Steelers must have been a stronger, faster team that played harder. Since the Chiefs beat the Steelers, the obvious conclusion that can be drawn is that the Chiefs are better than the Vikings.

Now I obviously don't think that. However, I don't see how this is any different from you saying that played tougher teams just because you deemed them to be so. As far as I can tell, the Vikings have not beaten a single team who currently possesses a winning record. The Saints have actually done that. So by your own logic your statements don't make sense. I honestly don't know which one is better, but if I had to go by strength of schedule (which is what you must be using) I would have to say the Saints. If I had to go by record I would have to say the Saints. So I'm trying to figure out what makes you so absolutely sure the Vikings are better.

Never mind. I know. You're a Viking fan. Oh well as you said:

"so I'm right everyone else but ones agreeing with me are wrong"

    Flawless logic.

  60. PervyHarvin says: November 24, 2009 6:23 PM

@ McBomb - Are you high? The vikings beat thee Packers(6-4) twice. Can't wait until the Vikings take down the Saints, bet u ass on it!

  61. darshiva420 says: November 24, 2009 6:37 PM

Ha im a Saints fan and you proved my logic by being mad at me and thinking i'm a Vikeings fan so by your hate for me you have changed your previous statis of not knowing whos better so thanks.second i'm a football fan an not a english major nor do i have spell check easy access and post alot this would get old when I slow down im a little better but thanks for comeing to my side.

The jeberish you can't undrstand is this

The NFC west AFC north(a little harder) are known to be weaker teams. While the NFC AFC east teams are known as the reliable powerhouses of the NFL.Also the Viks are in the NFC north another mediocore div while the NFC south(Saints divs)is a much tougher schdual and had no loseing team in it last year.So the Viks have played lesser opponents that genarally have only one good team.while the saints have took on the powerhouses of the NFL and made most of them look follish.

I hope if we beat Pats all this foolishnish will stop.the colts where giveing that game and should have lost (no coach in his right mind would give the Cleavland Browns the ball at the 28 much less Payton Manning)we all know the Viks couldn't beat the Pats on a good day so point is about 75% of the intelligent sports writers and broadcasters have the Saints ranked #1 and really only dummy peter prisco has the Colts ahead of us.So if we beat the Pats hand down then that should put us first in front of everone and the tourch will be passed on and we will be the next dynasty for the next ten years. So get used to it anyone that knows football knows this is one of the greatest teams to ever play and may be the greatest ever we shall see

  62. PervyHarvin says: November 24, 2009 8:10 PM

@ darshiva420- We could beat the Patriots on any given day. Jim Mora of the Seahawks said we were the toughest, most complete team he has played easily. They played the Colts. You are a fool to look down on the vikings, they may be the ones to break your dreams of a SB.

  63. Vikes - This is the Year! says: November 24, 2009 8:32 PM

Obviously we will not know who the better team is until the playoffs.

It is impossible to compare teams who have not played against each other, otherwise all logic would be shot:

If Team A beat Team B, and Team B beat Team C, but Team A lost to Team C, then Team C is better than Team B. This logic is flawed as it does not account for the various scenarios of each week, health of players, biased calls by the refs, etc.

As I've stated before, it is undeniable the Vikes and Saints are for real and both are very good teams.

  64. McBomb says: November 25, 2009 8:22 AM

    @darshiva

Your post was so hard to understand which is why I tried to fix it. It's mostly a mess.

    @PervyHarvin

You're right, I apologize, the Packers are 6-4. For some reason I thought that losing to Tampa Bay made them lower than that. Like 5-5 or something. But then I remembered the Packers also played the Rams, the Lions, and the Browns so it makes sense they'd have a winning record. You can almost throw Chicago in with those teams.

Whatever, I made it clear in my first post that it's impossible to determine which team is better. The problem is other than the Steelers (who the Vikings already lost to) the only other games against playoff contenders I really see on their schedule are Arizona and Cincinnati. So how about waiting for those games before you get too high on your team. Obviously, I don't think the Packers are playoff contenders because they are horribly inconsistent, just lost two of their best defensive players for the years, and I suspect they'll lose to Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Arizona (and any other random like the Bucs on their schedule.

Well, I probably won't check this post again, but have a good year Vikings fans.
