Bills-Jaguars one-liners

The Bills had two touchdowns called back by penalties in their 18-15 loss to the Jaguars.

Bills QB Ryan Fitzpatrick hit WR Terrell Owens with a 98-yard touchdown pass, the longest offensive scoring play in team history.

The Bills lost G Eric Wood to a gruesome compound fracture of his tibia and fibula.

Said Bills coach Perry Fewell, “It’s been an emotional week for all of us and this was an emotional loss for us also. I thought our guys fought their hind end off. They battled down to the wire. We just didn’t get it done.”

A bobbled snap on an extra point try forced Bills P Brian Moorman to try a pass that fell incomplete.

Jaguars QB David Garrard completed 8 of 9 passes for 113 yards and a touchdown in the fourth quarter.

Said Garrard after a second straight Jaguars comeback victory, “When it gets down to the last drive, it’s our will against theirs. We’ve
got to continue to impose it more and more earlier in the game and not wait
until the last drive.”

Jaguars WR Mike Sims-Walker had the game-winning touchdown catch and said that the team is showing its fighting nature.

Jaguars CB Tyron Brackenridge was burned by Owens, but recovered to make two key plays in the second half.

DT John Henderson had two sacks to spearhead a livelier Jaguars pass rush.
